I remember when I was a poor student living in London, one of my favourite meals of all time was to go to a KFC, buy a £1.99 snack box where you could get a single piece chicken+fries or popcorn chicken+fries. And then I would get the mini fillet burger for a further £1.99. So for under £4, I could eat like an absolute king on the side of the road in one of the world’s most expensive cities. I haven’t been back for long, so not sure if you can still get such a deal nowadays. Probably unlikely now.
