That's where my grandfather was sent when he had dementia. He asked for me over and over and when I was brought to see him he didn't know who I was. I loved him so much. I have no doubt the place is consumed by lost and confused entities. Thank you for sharing this video.

My grandmother died from Alzheimer.. got sobad she forgot how to eat.. and eventually died from pneumonia because she forgot how to cough... So I understand what you mean and I'm sorry for your lost loved one

I’m sorry to hear. Both of my maternal grandparents had dementia toward the end of their lives. They lived pretty long lives and made the best of it. I’m sure your grandfather did too and just know he is no longer suffering from that horrible illness. 🙏🏼

oh my.... that really sad.... and i can't imagine what your grandfather had to go through in there... especially orphans, and the mentally ill and even the nurses..... who knows what some of the nurses must have gone through there........ with all this Lobotomy...... i can't believe the things we humans did just to help advance our knowledge in the health field..... i mean, the anatomy done on either fresh corpses of criminals or bought from grave robbers or even on people who were murdered just for the practice of anatomy, which if not many people would remember was the way medical students learnt about the human body and also became the old fashioned doctors...... and Lobotomy was a way of learning more about the human mind....... and man! i studied Psychology in my pre university and bachelor's degree and trust me......i wanted to be a counselor.... but i ended up having a nervous break down in my final year and i just quit..... i even looked up Lobotomy during my pre university college and i just remembered it...... Seriously my condolences go out to you and your family...... 😞

I find it strange that everybody wants to talk to the spirits. Yet once they do communicate with you, they are ignored. "I had a good life". . . No following questions, just "Yeah alright!" then "Come on lets go to the basement!" There has got to be more, like if it took that long for someone to be comfortable to talk to you just have a real conversations. Just 3 or 4 questions like who they were, employee, patient, relative, friend of. .. Seth does communicate with the spirits as much as he can, totally awesome respecting them big time.

I grew up in Connecticut and, with my mom, lived in one of the buildings at Norwich State Hospital when it was a battered woman's shelter. That place is DEFINITELY haunted. I can tell you from personal experience!

As someone who’s explored this hospital three years ago there was a lot more buildings some do have a powerful feeling like someones consistently watching you. A great investigation! At about 1:05:51 you guys had two ideas about what the voice just said. I heard “Monster”. Younger kids say “monster” if they fear something. Later on at about 1:46:00 you ask the spirit for its name. Then I hear “Olive” but that gets overlooked. Did you hear it, too? Olive was a popular girl’s name many decades ago. What do you think?

The Salmon Building was where they kept the worst of the criminally insane. They're now housed at Whiting Forensic Institute on the grounds of the Ct. Valley Hospital in Middletown. CVH was no joke either! I spent some time there in the 1960's, overmedicated on psychotropic drugs and confined to a locked ward in Merit Hall for 30 dayys observation. I witnessed some very cruel punishments and even met a man that was lobotomized in the 1950's.

I remember my dog was always a good girl and never had any violent tendencies and when I visited Norwich State Hospital that day, my dog bit me on the face and it was very unexplainable. Other than that, it felt uplifting to visit to basically visit a graveyard of either awful or tragic deaths of victims that deserved dignity who were weak and vulnerable as staff, nurses, and doctors were the real monsters who are the real reason why it was a hellhole nightmare fueled place. I was thankful to get to pay my respects to the victims.

One thing I have to say is you are more respectable to the spirits who still live there than what Zak of Ghost Adventures is. He's not even respectful towards his "team"; you are. Please be careful when dealing with malicious entities. I work with a couple of daemons (not demons) and even they know where I draw the line. If you wish, you may want to come explore some haunted places here in Vermont.
