Kuro could've done Albedo justice. More than Hoyo seriously. Man, Albedo is my favorite character in Genshin. His 3D model's hair looks like a joke compared to his 2D art. Meanwhile, in WuWa it's the opposite, 2D either looks good or ok, but the 3D models almost if not always look miles better than the 2D model.

Personally it might be hard to achieve, the two different styles of genres both games are going for makes it hard for the models to look good. Genshin is classical fantasy while WuWa is futuristic post-modern, the two different styles would really clash, I'd rather we get a Collab from hoyo's other two titles as they feature styles that are much more similar to WuWa. HSR is futuristic fantasy and Hi3 is basically the same genre as WuWa.

Hoyo's 3D modeling is limited to its base models, so the models don't always look exactly like in the splash art. Unfortunately, they could make a better effort to make more unique models. I know this supposed to show how genshin 2d doesn't reflect well on their 3d but instead I got to appreciate how fluid and impactfull genshin animations are instead. What I kinda like with the WuWa design is that out of all the faults they could, and have committed, false shading isn't one of them. Genshin characters, to me, sometimes look so weird due to the shading of their angle designs. Neuvilette shading sometimes makes his nose disappear, and that even applies to Chasca. Which makes them look so weird.

Albedo, Itto and Diluc is 3 character with the worse hair in Genshin in comparison to their poster. And Itto have the worst 3d model with noodle arm. Ayaka is one of the first Genshin character, and she have the worst hair bang in Genshin as well, Are you just listing most Genshin bad 3d model in this comparison?🤨Should've put Clorinde, Raiden, Al Haitam, Wriothesly, Neuvillete in the comparison as well as they have much better in game model. Oh and also to add, they shrink Xiao 3d model as his NPC used to be taller and more accurate to the poster.

Tbf some of the Genshin Models are still pretty decent. The thing about those characters not being shown is likely due to Kuro not having similarly-designed characters to be compared with

@@donnycorn3086 Jiyan and Alhaitam have more similar cloth design to each other than Xiao though. And Clorinde cloth design is more similar to Yang Yang. Having all 5 Genshin's worst character 3d in game for comparison can't be a coincidence. I can tell the op is being biased while doing this comparison to create a false generalization.

Feelsbad. Some of the characters look great, most especially Navia. But they suffer being in Genshin so they have the same head/face syndrome. Imagine how mesmerizing all Genshin characters would look if they were a WUWA character instead.

If only genshin model didn't limit by default base model (kid, teen, adult), they can make a great model just like wuwa. For example, Itto in splash art has a buffed body and arms. But because the default base model exists, they tried so hard to make Itto fit with other adult male models. The result? You got a noddle arm and a png six pack Arataki Itto

I think the only Genshin characters in this video which is comparable in desing to those of Wuwa is Arlecchino and maybe Shenhe.

From my observation, I'd say the best way to describe the difference is the feel of age in the base models. Most genshin characters that are around young adult feel like mid teenage while most WuWa characters feel a lot more elderly as of standart, thus giving them a bit more realistik and serious model and expressions. Same goes for the Loli characters too. In WuWa Verina and Youhou actually feel like early-teens and Encore actually feels like a child. In Genshin Loli's that are characterized and act a lot more mature have an a lot more child look (7-11 years old). Nothing of that is bad though. Genshin does have an a lot more colorfull and stylized look with their characters fitting in pretty damn well. Note that WuWa *is* rated 16+ and it's world is a nice bit darker and has an a lot more leaning towards post-apocalyptic vibe, whilst genshin is supposed to be a lot more fantasized with a more joyfull look.
