Hi Mike and Karen, Tammy and I fell in love with Banner Elk. When our youngest son got married they wanted to go to Banner Elk for their honeymoon. They were there in October and said that the leaves were beautiful. So we went there last year and it was beautiful, we were amazed by the color of the leaves. We went up on grandfather mountain and the view was unbelievable. We are going back in about 4 weeks. Banner Elk Cafe is a great place to eat. Avery Knifeworks is a great experience. Beautiful handmade and forged knives.

Been there in winter time. We stopped at Stonewalls Restaurant and it was amazing. Went to Ski Beach and Sugar to check out the ski slopes. Beautiful in winter time.

This brought happy tears, memories of my daddy taking me down to small family owned store near our house after school, where we would get a “dope” and a bag of peanuts and just hang out. He died 3 years ago and I miss him so. Thank you you the memory. Love, from Johnson City, Tn❤️😊
