with patch 1.8 there is a lot less hardwood to buy but the prices are even higher but I fear you can't make as much but still viable to do. Less hardwood but more of a price so it works decent with a battanian sandbox start buying from villages.

Good stuff. Had a feeling it was gonna be a simple hardwood selloff. Seonon sells super cheap hardwood and the economy is so easy to manipulate. Wonder if the real eco is just as easy 🤔

Yeah this completely got altered when you got a convenient caravan that bought high. No such luck on my attempts. The most caravans will buy for are 5 apiece. Oh well, was worth a try.

the key is keeping hardwood out of the town, if it gets dropped off each day the price will plummet that its left in there

I don't know why TW give so much hardwood in Sandbox make the game so easy start. Feudal Warfare mode is suitable for challenge. You can't get recruit from day one and you have to go for expensive tavern Merc.

I find those prices really cheesy to begin with. You can completely ruin the economy with some mid level smithing. That's why I always use mods to lower the prices of high quality items and make troops much more expensive to maintain and level up. Unmodded this game is like an Apple-Store regarding equipment.

Selling meat and skins after killing a hog is still a bug / exploit for me.

Yeah the economy early game does make a bunch of things a bug or exploitable

if you want without exploits, you can start for aserai, be sure to have a bow, then buy fish for all the money, after which you will move at a speed of 1.0 and head to ortisia, your task is to catch a caravan on the way to it, to which you can sell fish (so you can earn more than selling in the city). I do not recommend olives, because they can be sold for 16-21, while fish is 21-34 per item.

Not sure if this has been patched in 1.7.2 - trying to sell the hardwood to caravans outside of Marunath and the most I can sell one for is 7 Denars

I did try 1.7.2 and worked fine, it matters how quick you get there, if someone drops off hardwood for a few days the price will plummet

There are some vids out there. One guy did all the eligible male and female spouses by age, equipment, and stats too. Edit: I wanna say it was Domtastic Gaming or Strat Gaming, but just YT search for bannerlord wives and it should pop up. Pretty sure its 1.7 relevant at least.

Not sure of any up to date ones, but waiting for a character to turn 18 and then immediately snatching them from the cradle is generally pretty effective. Typically those come in around level 9. If you don't want to wait on a specific character to come of age, you can also just look for an 18 year old character with as few skills listed in the encyclopedia as possible. I normally want the spouse character to compliment my own skills (e.g. make them smithing refiner and party steward or engineer) and so having them be an almost blank slate is ideal. If I could get level 1 companions and spouse, that would be my pick. But I haven't run across any of those.

yes if you mod get the encyclopedia extender which shows it all. I did cover it in a mod review, it has its own playlist. dude this tactic sucks, within minutes of the game a forest bandit hideout spawns and you get robbed every 3 seconds, clearly a modded playthrough. Find a better exploit

@@Flesson19 It's not about skill, it's about this doesn't work, as there isn't 1000 hardwood, there's maybe 100-150 and the looters seem to be far more aggressive, I was also robbed like 4 times trying to get back

@@Flesson19 intercepting Caravans inforont of the town to exploit how the internal math handels the price mark ups (don't know if the devs intendet for it to be specifically that way) the main problem i think is with the specific no exploits in the title since its a more nebulous term that people have differing definitions and opinions for so its usually best practice with these titles to keep it on the save side. still, thank you for the video, Appreciate your content. also, sorry just a nitpick, roleplay for the sake of powergaming is not really roleplaying, aka the dnd guy who says "yea i got schooled by a Gini so of course i have a milliion beginner gold and the wish spell at lvl 3."
