My eldest daughter, living away from me in South Africa and I’m in the UK, sent me this to remind me that “I HAVE THIS”….I will get through it. I left my job 5 years ago. Moved in with my parents, got diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, spent much of my time in hospitals and at home, studying. Depressed and in the dark for so long but today I can proudly say I have been accepted to work as a government official in customs and international trade and my health has improved drastically in the past couple of years. Things get better. Persevere and keep faith. ❤

That's a hard fear to live with- constantly wondering if the person you love so much is going to lose the will to carry on. I pray your brother continues to fight, and that he holds on to hope, even if the waves seem so terrifying and fierce. There's this song called 'See the Light' by Toby Mac. I hope that this is an encouragement to you, too. You're not alone, either. You have more then you on your side. I know you have to stay strong for your brother, but just know that it's okay for you to cry, and it's okay for you to need someone to lean on. 💜 You sound like a caring and encouraging sister. @@oconee_belle thank you so much. I posted this a year ago, and so much has changed. It’s still a battle but lately he’s been getting better. Everyday he wakes up is a step in the right direction. Longer he stays the more of a chance he has of finding hope.

To see the hope finally start to sparkle in their eyes is the most refreshing, beautiful thing.
