Today, we're gonna bake a delicious, silky, caramely, banany Banoffe Cake 😎
and you're gonna love it !!
INGREDIENTS
For the Banana cake dough:
12 ripe bananas
3 1/3 Cups or 640g granulated sugar
8 Eggs
2 Cups or 40cl vegetable oil
4 Tbsp or 60ml vanilla extract
4 Cups or 680g all purpose flour
4 Tsp or 24ml of baking powder
Salt
For the home made Caramel :
2 Cups 1/4 or 430g granulated sugar
6 Tbsp or 90ml water
1 Cup or 20cl hot whipping cream
1/2 Cup or 125ml cold butter
How to make your delicious home made Caramel 😋 ?
Put your sugar and water on high heat, and let me get a really brown color
Then stir the mixture with a wood spoon to turn it into a caramel
Remove the pan from the heat, and add your hot whipping cream.
Using hot whipping cream is really important because it reduces the bubbling effect when pouring on your boiling hot caramel which can be dangerous for you...
Be extremely careful, because it can bubble and you may burn yourself 😱
Then pour your caramel into a sifter over the cold butter, to avoid any lumps and stir until completely incorporated
For the Ganache:
2 Cups or 400g chopped chocolate
2 Cups or 40cl hot whipping cream
No need to put sugar on the ganache, it's gonna be sweet enough with the rest of the ingredients
For the Whipped Cream:
4 Cups or 1kg Mascarpone cream
1 Cup or 20cl of whipping cream
1/2 Cup or 125ml of vanilla flavored sugar
And of course fresh bananas 🍌🍌🍌
And at last, for the cake decoration, it's up to you 😁...
