When I read the play, I thought that this scene was like a ball with multiple people in attendance. I didn’t think it was a super dull and quiet banquet, but I guess it makes sense why it was so awkward because of Macbeth making a scene over Banquo’s body

A filmed 'ghost' is as nothing to the horror of live performance. I once saw an Old Vic production where Banquo suddenly appeared sitting at the table in the seat which had been kept for him, ghastly chalk white, hollow eyed, with dried blood running all down his face. The juxtaposition of the normal and the abnormal is much more effective!

Hallucinating is when you imagine seeing someone and it feels so real and you are brought back to a moment with them and it’s crazy how you can put ur hand on the hallucination and it will feel real so yea
