having extra batteries and USB cables would be great and using USB c cables is a good thing

spare batteries are a good idea.

I use AR152 and Wouxon KGUV8d and 9d. Baofeng is fine, but with more capacity and capability comes more complexity. People do struggle with chirp. Not with reading or writing to the radio but with the different options. Offset, tones, ctcs ext. I have the AR152 in an emergency kit do it’s large extended battery. For 60 bucks it brought a lot of capability with a kit.

Review the button settings in CHIRP for the flashight; you may be able to reassign it to something else.
@The_Outdoorsman9 күн бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately, this one doesn’t have a button setting in chirp

Go with the tid TD-H3 , better in every way than the baofeng radios. I can actually talk on my H3's and getting great audio reports back from them.

Just had a channel member ship me one to integrate into the fold! Seems like a lot of people like it!

Baofeng is the way to go in part because its cost effective. But I wouldn't call it the best. Its the best if you factor cost effectiveness.

It's not that good I would go for the TID H8. 10 Watt. I have two. Verified on metre ten watts. Great preparedness radio.

Many have said the same. Maybe we’ll do a review of that radio in the future!

What radio would you rthe mind?That is not a ham radio
@The_Outdoorsman9 күн бұрын
Well, this one isn’t just a ham radio. You can also on all VHF, GMRS, MURS etc..

If you don't know anything about radios then why are you making a video about them?
@The_Outdoorsman8 күн бұрын
Pretty sure I didn’t say that anywhere in the video. To answer your question. Because I can.

Really good HT's hardly exist.. I've got several different boofwhengs, they all suck in various ways. These multicolor displays are terrible. You can't see them at all in any amount of daylight. I'd rather suck it up with only 128 channels than not be able to see my screen. Hell - even my Yaesu vx-6r has its drawbacks - tiny battery theres no upgrade for, barrel charging only, and a clunky interface reminiscent of programming a VCR in the 80's...
