Thank you Rakeshji for nice information on Bappida. Panchamda was way ahead of Bappida in melody, quality of music, background music and panchamda own trademark. Bappida still survived in the same era , he scored few out of his trademark songs like Dhire dhire subah huee, Chanda dekhe Chanda (Hrishikesh mukherje Jhooti) , Albela Mausam etc which were classical songs tribute to Samta Prasad maybe. People hated him but cannot be ignored. His private album Habiba was so outstanding. He was assisted by Anil-Arun duo marathi music directors and later Ashok Patki another talented music composer also assisted with him. R.D.Burman is an undisputed king and Bappi Lahiri was someone who was Hyundai if compared to Mercedes as RD and not definitely as Maruti 😅.

Indivar and Anjan who would give rubbish lyrics to Bappi Lahiri. Indivar with KA and Anjaan with Rajesh Roshan was something to cherish

हमेशा की तरह बेहतरीन episode.....राकेश जी ! 👌👌👌👌 बप्पी दा मेरे भी favorite हैं ! RD की तरह इन्होंने भी music में कई experiment किये ! 'पग घुंघरू बांध....' में पहली बार 'fusion' यानी disco और classical का एक साथ प्रयोग किया, जो कि अद्भुत है ! इस song ने किशोर कुमार को और ऊंचाई प्रदान की ! इल्ज़ाम और controvercy का सामना किसे नहीं करना पड़ता ? या copy कौन नहीं करता ? rd का compose किया 'चुरा लिया है तुमने जो दिल को....', जिसे 'song of the millenium' भी कहा गया...., ये भी एक english song की copy है !
