Baptism of the Holy Spirit: my testimony

I was in religion for 15 years. Then, 6 years ago I heard the full Gospel on youtube for the first time. This preacher also spoke about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which was completely abandoned in my religious church. One day I repented in front of God from the bottom of my heart. I cried out to Him not to send me to hell, because I was convicted that I was a hypocrite believer and the same as any other unbeliver although I did all those religious stuff in my church at the time. Well, three seconds after I repented and cried out to God , a current of electricity like came into my body, from my head, top of my fingers and my toes, and when it came together at the center of my heart, something like a blow, just came out of me all of a sudden. From that moment I was born again, even though I didn't know the term from the Bible as we never spoke of it in the church I was in. So a little while later I asked the Lord to give me the gift of speaking in tongues ( if it was for me😊). Even though in my life I have never heard someone spoke tongues before. And then I heard in my thoughts -" You already have the gift. Just open your mouth. " And I did, and out came a whole new languge that I never heard before. And it was beautifull and amazing. This was almost 6 years ago to this day. I have opened a youtube channel where I shared my testimony in my native language which is Serbian. Since I am from Serbia. Europe. Thank you for sharing your testimony. August 3rd 2020 I prayed and fasted for 3 days for the gift of speaking in tongues on the first day in the evening I was on my knees praying I was on the beach praying Lord if it is your will I want to pray in tongues that went on for a long time and finally my English praying turned into tongue speaking and I was so excited that I ran into the ocean jumping for joy, and then all of a sudden I felt like I was laid back into the surf and when I came back up I felt renewed I was baptized with the Holy Spirit and tongues. I still pray in tongues to this day 2022. God bless you

I just commented on another one of your videos, regarding the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and that I need advice. I have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I was baptized and thought I would come up out of the water thinking I would receive the H.S., but nope. That's not what happened. I was so sad. But the next week, I did receive the Holy Spirit and it's just like the Bible, (though I didn't know the scriptures then), I heard wind and then couldn't hear myself. I could hear everyone around me getting really excited and telling me I was speaking in tongues, keep going! I don't remember how long I spoke in tongues, but boy did my jaw and throat hurt afterwards, but I felt so much lighter and had a joy I hadn't felt before. I was 16. It's been a LONG TIME. decades. And I speak in tongues when I pray, but not always. As far as I know I don't have the gift of tongues. I think if God wants me speaking a language for someone's benefit, it will happen. Father God, I ask You to do spiritual CPR on my brother Charles and breathe new life into his relationship with You! I ask You to baptize him afresh Holy Spirit and fire, to set his heart ablaze and revive him and give him his prayer language Lord! Show him if there is anything he needs to do on his end (other than waiting and trusting in Your timing) to fan the flame or surrender to You Lord. Increase his hunger for You God! Holy Spirit, may he feel Your love and presence like never before today! I pray that any hindering spirits, any spirits of doubt, discouragement or religion would be cast out and away in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit push out any darkness and fill those areas with light! I had gone to visit a friend who told me that a friend of his had gotten saved. I asked him what that meant. He looked at me a minute and said if I wanted him and his wife would take me to visit his parents church for a Thursday night Bible study. I said okay When we arrived at the church before the study began I saw people going into a side room. My friend saw me watching them and asked me if I knew where they were going and I said no. He told me that they were going to pray and if I wanted to I could go back there too, so i did. When I arrived where they went I saw a carpeted room with low sitting benches scattered around the room. I found one toward the back by its self and knelt like they were closed my eyes and listened. I didn't really know how to pray so I was trying to listen to how they were doing it. After a few minutes I heard a girl coming back there and she was thanking God as she came. Suddenly she went from praying in English to praying in this stuttery sounding language. Keeping an open mind I remember thinking," That's different". As soon as I had thought this I felt this presence approaching me. Usually you can detect someone's presence near you at maybe two or three feet away. This presence was at least six foot away from me when I became aware of its approach. I could feel the power of this presence six foot from me but I wasn't afraid because I felt love too. I was so naive that I opened one eye to see if perhaps someone have quietly knelt beside me. No one was anywhere near me so I decided, " It must be God". After the Bible Study my friend said that if I had enjoyed the study he would call a friend of his and have him pick me up the next night and take me to a church like his closer to where I live for their church service. I said okay That next night I entered the church and felt that wonderful presence right away. The people were really kind in greeting me and I then took a seat. As the service was in progress I saw some people shouting, dancing, and running the aisles. I remember thinking that I had just been greeted a short time ago by some of these people and they struck me as solid, sober people. Then I came to the conclusion that they must be experiencing something so wonderful that they were " beside themselves" in expressing it. I also came to the conclusion that the presence I was feeling around me they must have in them and I wanted that too. When the altar call came I went up there. The altar worker asked me what I would like the Lord to do for me and I told him. Him and one other altar worker to me back to a carpeted hallway which was that churches prayer room. He told me to kneel facing the wall, lift my hands, and begin asking the Lord for what I wanted. All I kept asking Him was that I may have His presence I felt around me in me. The workers layed hands on me and were praying for me too. After a few minutes I heard footsteps and then the pastors voice saying, " Brother Bob, stand up, lift your hands, and recieve the Holy Ghost. I stood with my eyes still closed and lifted my hands. Immediately this window appeared to my upper right. It had what appeared to be those old fashioned shutters on the outside ends of it and they were wide open. I looked in the window and saw this beautiful blue sky, clouds and all. Then I saw a bright light appear at the left hand corner inside the window and it began to move across my field of vision until it reached the centerpoint. It then shined on me. I immediately felt this warmth moving from my ankles up my body. I felt as if my body was being filled with a warm liquid. As the filling continued to rise up my body I was thanking Jesus for answering my prayer. As the filling approached the top of my head I heard the pastors voice again saying to surrender my tongue to the Holy Spirit. So I stopped thanking the Lord opened my mouth and started relaxing my tongue suddenly I felt control of my tongue being seized and I fluently began talking in this stuttery language like the girl the night before. The effect was staggering I was suddenly so filled with joy that now I was " beside myself" I was so happy. I led the way out of the prayer room, stopped and faced the seated church members. Suddenly I felt such love for these people and didn't really know any of them. I felt as if I was looking at beloved family members. I felt like I had a little sun in my head and I could feel it beems shooting out from around my face and head.

I just want to share with the Body of CHRIST. when we receive this precious gift. That you speak the words as the SPIRIT gives you utterance in your spirit. Some people think the SPIRIT makes your mouth move, then they give up. And say its not for me. Its for everybody. You speak not known lanuage. You speak to GOD. PRAY FOR interpretation and despise not prophecying. You can do it by FAITH!! LOVE YOU ALL.

@@crystalbottger885 You are welcome and thank you for the comment. Yes I notice a big difference in my life now. When this happened I was suffering from a big break up with my girlfriend and all I could do is pray without ceasing and then after about a month is when I got hit by the Holy Spirt with a spiritual bolt of lightning. After that I felt peace in my life and I felt a spiritual closeness with God more than ever before. I didn't feel like sinning anymore and if I messed up and did any sinning, which was less than ever before but if I did sin I was not happy with my sin and sought to be right with God fast and leave sin behind me. I sought more of seeking the Lord. I read the bible more. I felt less carnal now. I don't feel carnal but spiritual. I feel my spirit is in line with that of the Holy Spirit. I go on 3 to 5 mile walks every day (weather permitting) to pray to the Lord. I feel deep sorrow and sadness when I see persecution of Christians in China. Not just China but everywhere but especially China. I see testimonies of Chinese being detained and tortured for their faith and I quite honestly cry. My heart is so full of love and the spirit of God as it never has before. I also want to donate to Christian organizations that help support persecuted Christians in China and the world. I feel more love than ever for everyone. There is more but it is hard to explain. I just subscribed to you. I am your subscriber 167. Thank you for your videos, please keep them up.

Question. Where does it say in God's that you have to pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit? I'm having a hard time finding it. Why would Jesus tell us to keep seeking, knocking and asking for the Holy Spirit in Luke 11:13 if we had all we were meant to at conversion? I believe we receive the Holy Spirit at conversion and do water baptism as a sign of our death and resurrection in Christ-leaving our old life behind, a sign of our repentance and outward display of our faith in Christ but that we can be filled more as we seek and desire more of God. God says He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6) and I believe the reward is more of Him. We can be filled more and more as we desire more of Him, He will fill us more. Then we can walk in power to share the gospel, heal the sick and cast out demons- the things that Jesus Christ and his disciples did-things I could not do until I received more of the Holy Spirit but now I can do by the power of the Holy Spirit. As I said in my video, I went to a Calvinist church when I first got saved that believed in censsationism and I just believed whatever they said because I didn’t know better since I had never went to church growing up. I lived in defeat but then God opened my eyes to the more He had for me (and all who want it) and my experience disproved what I previously believed and I now walk in victory like never before. Every time someone in the book of Acts received the Holy Spirit they spoke in tongues except one time where it doesn’t say if they did or did not. I believe that God is restoring the Acts church and preparing the Body of Christ for the end time harvest and restoring everything the enemy has stolen from the Church in this season and many people are having their spiritual eyes opened right now! When someone first told me they thought every believer could pray in tongues I went to God and asked Him myself, I didn’t just take their word for it and I recommend if you have any qualms with what I said to take it to God in prayer.

The Word " recieve" in Acts 2:38 in the originalal Greek means " to take hold of". That's why we have to pray to recieve the Holy Spirit until God fills us. Then we must surrender our tongue which the Word says is " the body's most unruly member that no man can tame" ( James 3:8 ) until the Holy Spirit takes control of it ( tames it ) and enables you to speak in the spiritual language our English translation calls " tongues". At that moment the Holy Spirit joins with our spirit ever to remain within us. The Holy Spirit baptism ( being filled to overflowing) is how we recieve the Holy Spirit.

There are two different types of tongues, one is for every believer in the body of Christ, and it's from earth to heaven. The second type of tongues, is from heaven to earth and it's the equivalent of prophesy. It speaks to men/mankind to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1st Corinthians 14 : 3 - 5 verses. Diverse kinds of tongues when in operation equals prophesy. Every believer in Christ should follow the new testament pattern. Mark 16 : 17 verse. Acts 2 : 4 verse. Acts 10 : 44 - 46 verses. Acts 19 : 1 - 7 verses. 1st Corinthians 14 : 2 verse. 1st Corinthians 14 : 14 - 15 verses.
