Baptism of the Holy Spirit Testimony

I remember being confused when someone in church told me I didn’t have the Holy Spirit because I didn’t speak in tongues. That was a big disappointment in my life thinking I was not good enough for God. I almost left the faith but I’m glad the Holy Spirit didn’t give up on me. For many years I thought that I needed to be super Holy or righteous to receive the Holy Spirit. I felt that I had Jesus in my heart and nothing else. When we accept Jesus Christ we our seal with the Holy Spirit. The Baptist of the Holy Spirit is another step in our faith. Read Acts 2. Then through experience and affliction in prayer did I experience the Baptist of the Holy Spirit. When I was praying I wasn’t seeking the Baptist or speaking in tongues. I was praying for a friend at home who was in a coma in a hospital bed. I felt this beautiful power or anointing come over my head and over my body. Then my tongue starts moving real fast and I had no control over the words or my tongue. I almost felt like my body froze but in a grateful way and and the Holy Spirit took control of my body. My mind couldn’t understand what was happening but I told myself that it’s the Holy Spirit inside me. He was so strong in me that he was inside me for about 10 minutes. I didn’t understand the words that he was speaking but then the translation came and I understood the meaning. He told me “ don’t be afraid, I’m with you” then I felt the anointing leave my body back up to heaven. I did feel like I was drunk in the spirit for about a week, almost like a floating gracefully way. After that encounter with the Holy Spirit I went to the hospital a couple days later and remembered that I was reading the Bible were Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead. I told a person who was with me to go back and speak to our friend who was in a coma and he came back telling me our friend woke up after 2 weeks in a vegetable stage. The Glory belongs to God and not men. Only Jesus Christ has power and salvation for us all. I thank God for his Holy Spirit in us. I only texts this now because I don’t care if people make fun of me or think that it’s foolish. I have nothing to lose maybe you find yourself in a hard place and need a miracle. Maybe my experience can help you. God bless. After 1 year of texting this comment, I want to add another miracle that the Holy Spirit did to my sister stepson. We were at church having services during the week and Cov 19 was shutting down business. We stay strong in our faith and kept the building open for a few strong believers no more then 20 people by law for our services. Then my sister came crying saying, her son had overdose on drugs and was in a coma stage already two weeks. So many people even the preacher just told her stay strong and left for the night. We stood outside the cold night ready to leave in our vehicles and she looked at me with this hopeless looked and I told her would you want me to go pray for him? She told me that they won’t let nobody in because of Cov 19 and I understood so I told her alright good luck. Then I heard the Holy Spirit in my heart to anoint a piece of cloth with praying oil and I did after going inside the church building and finding any cloth. I gave it to my sister and told her to anoint his head and hands when she gets to the hospital. That night she obeyed and the next day he woke up from the coma. I was shocked and I couldn’t believe it, but the Holy Spirit is the healer not us. Sadly after a couple of months of asking him to join the services he refuse and now he’s in jail for selling drugs. May God have mercy on him and his parents. We can only do so much but God is merciful. Then a few weeks ago this couple was at church praying and the Holy Spirit moved me to pray for them and I just put my fingers tips on the husband head with anoint oil. Then moved to the wife and just put my finger tips with oil and called on Jesus to deliver her from her affections then she fell down like a feather when the anointing touched her. She asked me how did I do that even her husband was scared, and I told them it was the Holy Spirit I don’t have power it’s him that does the work we just obey. So if the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart let him use you and don’t resist he’s love. God bless. ( sorry for my spelling or run on sentence )

I remember ,when I recieved the Holy Spirit. I had no church experience at all. I had felt this powerful loving presence draw near to me in a prayer room. I was so naive that I opened one eye to see if perhaps someone had quietly knelt beside me. No one was even near me, so I decided that " It must be God"! I soon realized that the presence I felt around me I needed in me. I told some men at the prayer bench what I wanted so they took me back to the prayer room and they said," Tell Jesus what you want". I started crying out to Him to let His presence I feel around me be in me. After a couple minutes, with my eyes closed, I saw a window appear to my upper right. The window had what looked like those old fashioned window shudders and they were wide open. I looked and saw the most beautiful blue sky I had ever seen. After a few seconds, I saw this bright light appear on the left side, inside the window ,and it was moving across my field of vision and stopped at the center of the inside of the window. The moment it stopped it shined on me. Immediately I felt this warmth moving up my body from my feet. It was like I was being filled with a warm oil. I started thanking the Lord because I knew that he was answering my prayer. When the filling reached my head, I heard the pastor telling me to surrender my tongue to the Holy Spirit. I stopped thanking the Lord and relaxed my tongue. After a few seconds I felt control of my tongue being seized and it just took off and I was fluently speaking this strange language. I didn't even know it was called speaking in tongues until someone told me afterwards. Never had I felt such pure joy in my life. When I arrived back home, I decided that I would read a little of the scriptures before I went to bed When I opened it to the N.T., and started reading, I was amazed. Before I recieved the Spirit I found the scriptures to be confusing and contradictory. Now I felt the Holy Spirit opening them up to me and teaching me what they mean. Later I recalled the Word saying that," But the anointing that you have recieved of Him abideth in you and you need not any man to teach you but as the same anointing teaches you...". If not for that anointing I would have had to depend on man to tell me what they mean and what i'd have to do to be saved.

This is so true. The same event happen to me. In 2017 actually I was still living in a specific sin, and I remember a few months before the Holy Spirit came I remember having thoughts of repentance, but still living that way. Then one day I came home and my baby was sleeping. I just started crying out to God I just needed him to deliver me from this because the urge and the conviction was so strong and the desire to stop doing it but I had no power to just stop. And all the sudden the Holy Spirit came over me like nothing I've never felt before my whole life. Hebrews 4:12 at the time I didn't know the Bible but that was the best way I knew how to explain how God was taking my sin and literally dividing it from me with his power inside of me. Then I saw all these hands all over me and I heard a voice through my conscience say these are the demons leaving you. Many more things after that happened as well but just like you said a conviction for sin to repent to have a craving for his word and it goes back and forth but when it happened I couldn't get enough of the Bible. another thing was prophecy just opened up to me like I understand Ezekiel 38 and Isaiah 17 and it was just coming naturally and I knew it wasn't for me because I didn't even know what Israel or who Israel was. Finally my desire that I had was taking completely from me. All praise and glory to God. Love this thanks for sharing.

I was baptized a few times I think, but the first time this year it was when I was spending time in prayer. I was reading the book of Acts and reading about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I had a vision too. It was crazy. I saw 2 family members being saved through Jesus speaking through me. It was amazing. It really showed me that that's what I desire, for people to be saved and for God to touch people's lives through me because I'm literally just a vessel He can use to accomplish His work 💜 Thank you for sharing bro 💜 Now I just really want to keep getting filled. I felt the power Holy Spirit gives and I want it in order for people to be saved. God's amazing 💜

Your experience started out about the same as mine. I had wanted to have that experience so bad. I think it was about a year after I went to that church that I was filled with the holy ghost. I could never explain it to anyone because it was such an experience unlike anything words can describe. But the best I can say is that it felt like I was in direct contact with God...I was speaking in tongues, and it was almost like a song, and was so beautiful...it didn't sound like me at all, but I KNEW it was coming from me. Later I asked my friend who had her hand on me if she heard it, and she didn't....I can't recall who else was touching me, but nobody heard it but me. This was almost 30 years ago.

I had never heard about this until about a year or so ago and since then I have been seeking to develop more of a relationship with Jesus through the power of his Holy Spirit!! God bless you man thanks for sharing this. I had a somewhat similar experience of this too on November 28th 2018. I was kneeling, down eyes closed, with both my hands out raised up halfway (as if I was ready to receive a gift). My mum was praying for me by her altar I was just saying amen, amen, amen etc. Then out of nowhere, some of my body started moving on it's own I was petrified; My head started to raise up (looking upwards) my hands went even higher than where I had them, my mouth opened and then I started panting. At this point I was freaking out but I let what happened happen. As I was panting the speed increased and I felt as if something had been withdrawn from me, and then what I can only describe as a warm liquid began to be poured back into my mouth, I felt it swirling around in my stomach and just started crying involuntary. Once we finished praying my mum asked did you feel the spirit I said yeah. Till this day I still don't know if it was the baptism of the Holy Spirit I experienced, but from the things I've read and heard (your testimony included) I feel that is what happened. Since then my dreams have been quite prophetic (some coming true, some not, some are certainly warnings). I've also noticed an increase in spiritual attacks be it via dreams or paralysis and even rape not sure if anyone will believe that. Lastly as you also said a conviction of sin and a willingness to repent and read the Bible more than before. It was something I've never ever experienced God is sooo good!

@A man Of GOD I don’t understand. The NT tells us that the Holy Spirit dwells in us. 1 Corinthians 3:16/2 Timothy 1:14 What do you mean that we cannot have the Holy Spirit constantly? The Word of God also says that the same spirit that rose Jesus Christ from the dead lives in us Romans 8:11 Jesus said greater things than this we will do in His name. John 14:12 What empowers us to do those things if not the Holy Spirit that dwells in us?

@@oikourgous123 The book of Romans through the book of Revelations are written to believers that already have recieved the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. The speaking in "tongues" is speaking in one spiritual language. We receive the Holy Spirit by being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

To "recieve" in the original Greek that the N.T. was written in, means to take hold of;". Go to a Pentecostal church and when they give the altar call go up and tell them that you need a couple brothers to take you to the prayer room and tarry with you to receive the Holy Spirit. When you are being filled with the Spirit you'll know it. Then relax your tongue and yield it to the Holy Spirit. Keep doing that until the Holy Spirit takes control of your tongue. Then you will speak in a new spiritual language. At that point you have recieved the Holy Spirit. While you have been waiting on God He has been waiting on you to get in that prayer room and pray and ask Him for the Holy Spirit until He gives it to you. Go for it brother !!!

I would like to humbly submit my thoughts on this subject. I believe that this brother is sincere, and I agree with his advice to keep seeking the Lord on it. I also believe that even though there may be similarities, we are all unique individuals - just as not one of us was created exactly like another, everyone's experience is unique to them - my relationship to our Abba is 'personalized,' others should be also. If someone has not yet spoken in tongues that does not mean they don't have the Power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. 'Tongues' have a few applications that I see in scripture - 1st, in Acts 2:3,4 - 'tongues of fire...' was so that all the people who were in the city from out of town (for Pentecost) would HEAR THE GOSPEL in their own language (impossible under the usual circumstances of the day). These tongues were actual human languages and caused a dramatic growth in the Church that day. The 2nd type is different - it is regarding tongues, as spoken in the assembly/congregation and discussed in 1 Corinthians 14 - see verses 27 and 28 in particular but read the whole chapter for what God wants us to know about this hot topic. In the gathering, speaking in tongues is limited, only 2 or at most 3 may speak - taking turns, and there MUST be INTERPRETATION (v.27). I have witnessed this kind also. 3rd type, from 1Cor14:1-4, lets us know that speaking in 'tongues' edifies (builds up) the one speaking, but no one else, and they speak mysteries that no one understands, except God. This tongue gift is between me and my Abba Father - not for public display. I have heard some people confuse Romans 8:26 for another type of 'tongues' experience, but the Word specifically says that the HOLY SPIRIT INTERCEDES FOR US, to help us with our sicknesses and weaknesses, with groanings THAT CAN'T BE UTTERED. This means the Holy Spirit is going to God for us - GROANING (think about that!) - making noises of suffering that only God hears. Our mouths are not involved here. Great testimony Tyler ! In the O.T. The prophets had the Holy Spirit come upon them and fill them but they didn't recieve the Holy Spirit permanently because being born again God hadn't made available to man yet. I have found that millions of believers have had the Holy Spirit draw near them and fill them and have been told that they have recieved the Holy Spirit are saved and born again. As a result they see Recieving the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a secondary experience that is not necessary to be saved. I have searched the scriptures and have never found where a believer recieved the Spirit and then was baptized in the Holy Spirit later. In John ch.3 Jesus said that we must be born of water and Spirit or we cannot enter or see the kingdom of heaven. That birth of water and Spirit is water and Spirit baptism. It is being filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing that causes the Holy Spirit to remain within us. Salvation is a process because it is spiritual rebirth. Just like physical insemination to actual birth is a process. In N.T. times people heard the gospel message, turned from their sinful past, were immediately baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and came up out of the water praying for the Holy Spirit. Look at Saul. He knew the gospel, saw and talked to Jesus on the road to Damascus but wasn't yet saved. He went to Damascus and was praying and fasting for three days and still wasn't saved yet. Finally Ananias said to him," Why tarriest thou ? Arise and be baptized calling on the name of the Lord".

being born of water (physical birth) and Spirit (spiritual birth). i have been filled with the Holy Spirit and born again all thanks to God’s grace who saved me from islam and new age deception. i have not been baptised in water but whenever i ask God to fill me with the Holy Spirit, i get urge to read my Bible, pray, repent, talk to God and come closer to Him. Jesus has done so much for me even when i was an agnostic, i can do nothing to repay Him for all that He’s done but i can spread His message and truth to people.

Amen! I love this! Gives me a sense of relief. I was recently baptized in Jesus’ name. Spoke in tongues for a brief moment.. but unfortunately that has been the only time that happened. It may just be me not earnestly seeking enough. But definitely do sense the working of the Spirit in my life. And oh the blessing of knowing my sins are forgiven!!🙌🏼 hallelujah!! Praise Jesus! Thanks for sharing your testimony. Praise God! One night, I woke up at 3am and a few seconds later I heard and sensed a mighty wind in the room, and this wind gradually was making it's way towards me. I believe this was the Holy Spirit. The Spirit rested on me and I felt him come through my back. I couldn't open my eyes and I was scared at first but Jesus came to my mind and I surrendered. I heard myself speaking in tongues but only in my mind. Then the Spirit left from me and it felt like a gentle ocean wave. My back and head felt so good; very euphoric. My guess is that I was baptised with the HS...but I don't know how to speak in tongues.

Wow, thanks for sharing that testimony Katrina! It sounds like the Lord really met you at that moment. Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift, I am sure you can pray and ask God for the gift! I also saw wind the day I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I was in the woods with my brothers I fell to the ground and God spoke to me in an un audible voice, I answered Him. I asked my brothers if they seen the wind storm and they thought I crazy. Then shorty after I had a revelation and walked up to my brother and told him I had to tell people about Jesus. Mind you that before all this happened I was a complete mess and worshiped the devil. God is amazing! And so merciful. That was 10 years ago.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! As far as experiencing the Holy Spirit living inside of you, if you are a believer, you already have the holy spirit living within you. At the moment of salvation, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of you. As far as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is concerned, this is a separate occurrence that happens and is different from salvation. If you are saved, the Holy Spirit within you is closer than you think. He is our teacher, helper, and counselor and will help you live a life in accordance with God's plan and word over your life. Spending time in His word is crucial to know how to live a Christian life. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit most definitely is a way to be empowered for service in the Lord and I would encourage you to seek it with all of your heart! Hope that helps.

Amen, thanks for commenting! Jesus is the savior of the world. God sent His only son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so that we may be forgiven and be restored in right relationship with God. Jesus was buried in a tomb for three days and he rose from the grave and appeared to his disciples afterward. He has since gone to heaven to be with the Father, but will be returning soon for his church. We will spend eternity with our Lord and He is returning to judge the world according to its sin. Those who are saved will be spared from the wrath of God. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our sins are forgiven and we are given access to God by being restored into right relationship to Him. The Bible tells us that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved! If you have any access to the Bible, the word of God, I would encourage you to read the Gospel of Mark. God bless and please know accepting Jesus into your life is the best decision you will ever make.

Hey there thanks for commenting! This wasn’t an out of body experience but I was coherent when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The whole time I was standing with my arms raised to heaven while I was being prayed over! I believe I was praying in tongues when I received the vision. It was quite a profound experience!

Ive been saved since i was 17. Got baptized at 21. But have yet to receive baptism in the holy ghost. I have been praying for it and am expecting it though(in his timing). Did you have visions before this baptism? Did God give you a ministry? And were you ever 'slain in the spirit'. Personally, i am very skeptical of 'slain in the spirit ' where people fall down backwards and go to sleep. What are your thoughts?

My encouragement would be to keep praying and not lose heart in seeking this! I was baptized in the holy spirit 5 months after salvation. From my recollection, I did not have any visions until the one I received during my encounter with the Holy Ghost. Since then, I have had many visions and there Lord speaks to me often this way. I have been slain in the spirit a few times and I have actually prayed for several people upon whom were slain in the spirit. I have been in full time ministry for around 8 years and I also have a heart to evangelize/preach on the streets. The things of the spirit early on had me a bit skeptical but the Lord chased me down and kept showing me there was more! I recall receiving the desire to be baptized in the holy spirit and to be used by God and kept seeking in prayer! Hope this helps.

In the video I talk about what it felt like. The spirit of God descended upon my body and went down from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. I had prayed to receive the baptism and went to several altar calls to receive. When I finally did, it was with two brothers in Christ. I was anointed with oil and prayed over. I have never felt so alive and full of the spirit in my life! God is good.

I've been seeking for over a year. What made the difference? I wonder sometimes if there is something wrong with my trust or I'm not approaching God in the right way. I want to be filled and know God in a closer way, but I'm still waiting. What was your sense of surrender at the time? Were you willing to say anything, do anything God asks when you were baptized in the Spirit? I'm still holding back there and haven't been willing yet to fully surrender.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out and watching! I am unsure of the difference maker other than the Lord's timing. When I was baptized in the spirit I was in a place of surrender and hunger for the things of the Lord and I wanted more! Ultimately during my time of waiting, the Lord was preparing my heart to receive. My encouragement would be to keep seeking, asking, knocking and it will be given! Are there any spirit-filled believers or churches near you who believe in the baptism of the holy spirit? Perhaps you can contact them to request prayer or attend a service that it is preached on! Don't give up seeking!

Salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit are separate experiences. The Holy Spirit comes and resides inside of you upon salvation. The best way I can explain the baptism of the Holy Spirit is that it’s the empowerment we receive to walk out our callings and lives in Christ. Read the book of Acts and you will see many accounts of those being baptized in the Holy Ghost!

What denomination of church do you attend? I keep looking for a church where they believe in laying on hands and receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost but I’m afraid of going somewhere where they’re speaking in false tongues/faking and peer pressuring others into faking as well. I’m so weary of all the different churches, I don’t want to be deceived or led astray. And I don’t understand all these churches where people talk about getting punched by a spirit or thrown on the ground by a spirit and they’re calling it the Holy Ghost. I’ve been seeking since October. Did you have to repent of certain things before receiving? Was your heart just not receptive until it was or is it just that God waits til He knows it’s the best time for us to receive? I’m confused a lot because people say “just believe and you’ll receive right then and there” but isn’t it His gift to give when He sees fit?

I attend an Assemblies of God affiliated church. With so many false signs, gifts and teachers on the rise I would encourage you to prayerfully seek a spirit filled church. I have had nothing but good experience with AG but would not limit your searching there. Do your homework, maybe check out prerecorded services of churches, that kind of a thing before attending. Ultimately you will definitely want to get connected to community! The Holy Spirit will give you discernment and make sure whatever you are learning, test it and make sure it’s not contrary to Gods written word. I come from a background of a lot of sin and strongholds before I met Christ and there was much repenting of sin that had to occur. Even today the Lord is leading me to deeper places of faith and repentance. You are right, God gives the gifts but there is an element of faith He wants us to possess in receiving from Him. Keep seeking Him and don’t give up, stay praying and learning! I hope this response may have helped in some way.

Thank you, will definitely keep searching! The most recent I tried was an Assemblies of God church. I was so excited to go but when I showed up I was getting some mixed messages. It sounded borderline new age and was way too focused on miracles without any talk of repentance, walking as He’s commanded us to, taking up our cross, dying to self, etc. Lots of “feel-good” preaching and talk about what Jesus can give to us instead of our lives being meant for Him and to give Him all of ourselves to serve and love Him. What He can do for us and not how we can serve Him. I’m hoping to find a different AOG church because I believe the denomination’s doctrinal statements are sound. Hi, I know you made this comment 8 months ago, but I just wanted to tell you of my experience. (Sorry if It's a little bit long) I was raised Pentecostal from birth up until early adulthood. I always wanted baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues, but never did in all of those years. I might have had the Holy Spirit in me, though, idk, but I always felt lack because I saw everybody else with the Holy Spirit during every church service. I always felt depressed because of it. Sometimes I wonder if I was a false convert. I said the sinner's prayer so many times in my life but I always went back to this luke warm state quickly. I never cracked upon my Bible or prayed too often while at home. I fell into New Age after a long period of being luke warm, maybe 10-15 years worth, and I married an unbeliever during that time as well. But things happened to me when I was in New Age like finding a spirit guide and having some scary things happen in my house and in my body. I was frightened because I knew I was tricked by the "spirit guide" and only God could help me. That night, I was saved and delivered after some crazy supernatural stuff happened. I felt this sense of peace that I have never felt before and extremely light. But I had these doubts for a few months afterward. What I was involved in might have tricked me once again. This false spirit that acts as a false Holy Spirit, also known as Kundalini, is rampant in the occult like divination, witchcraft, and mediums, also in a few charismatic church sects like Bethel, also in religions like Hinduism. I was into Divination and did practices like opening up my chakras. I felt something was wrong the moment I started practicing in the occult. But I felt some things that were off after I was saved, including still in my house. I had two more deliverances in two months time. The last deliverance, I had the actual Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I asked for the Holy Spirit to fill me and burn through me...And it did exactly that. It felt like a very heavy weighted blanket was dropped on top of me, and this heat filled me, outside and in. All of a sudden this strange language was bursting through my lips extremely quickly. I could stop it to say thank you Jesus, though it was hard to, then I would begin the utterances again. I remember this feeling of what felt like metal poles making their way through my arms and back. I remember heat surging from those "chakra points". I was still scared because I didn't know exactly what happened. Was it the Holy Spirit or was it a deception, Kundalini? They're so similar when you really study them both, except one you can't control. The next day, I woke up and felt like I was hit by a semi truck. Could barely walk and felt like my jaw was wired shut. I could barely talk to my husband or function for most of the day. I was like, "Oh, no, I was possessed!" The day after that was amazing. I felt like a normal human being. I talked to old friends that were apart of churches where I used to go and a friend that is a pastor and a different pastor's wife and they gave advice and insight to what happened. When I was talking to my pastor friend, the way he receives his messages to preach is how he gained information about my situation. One verse he told me God gave him suddenly when talking to me, Luke 11: 11-13 "11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” And let me tell you, it's been awesome since then. I don't know if many people "feel" the Holy Spirit daily while worshipping, reading the bible, praying, just generally talking to God, but man...My desires to do all of that raised ten-fold than ever before. I haven't had any manifestations since that night. I've been attacked in dreams shortly after, having a hard time sleeping, but it eased up after lots of prayer from myself and friends. The devil certainty wasn't happy. So I just wanted to say you don't have to belong to any church to receive the Holy Spirit and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I wasn't in church then, and I still am not apart of any church. Heck, I was even playing with the occult and was saved without anybody from the church. I did it myself. If you desire God with all of your heart, mind, and soul and repent for all of your misdeeds, mean them, and I mean with godly mourning, and know deep in your soul that you will follow Jesus, I'm pretty sure good things will happen if you just ask. One thing you did mention in your question about questionable things that happen during some churches- yes they do happen, but they don't happen in all churches. Always research greatly. Faking it is one thing, but a false Holy Spirit, Kundalini is prevalent, also. One big sign is a lack of control. Laughter that won't stop, rolling around on the ground, slithering like a snake, barking like dogs, screaming, shaking horribly, convulsing...Sometimes they can touch you and it is transferred that way. Their tongues are a bit off. Sometimes deliverance ministers can tell the moment someone speaks in tongues if it is Kundalini, it has a specific sound. There's plenty of good material on Google and KZbin. Look up Kundalini vs the Holy Spirit. But all in all, don't let that deter you from seeking the Holy Spirit and the gifts.

I experience being Spirit filled as a soft heart a desire to be with God and a lot of care of others. But I never recieved the Spirit like you did. It's difficult to put in words the vision I had but it was a vision just as mentioned in the video and it was something that I saw. I had a feeling of peace that accompanied it as well. As far as the spiritual things of God are concerned I would encourage you to search the scriptures and pray for the Lord to help you to understand or have wisdom in regards to the spirit! Now for the other folk, I discovered that in order to qualify yourself for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you need to come before Jesus with the following: 1. To genuinely give up your will for the will of God 2. To die to yourself 3. To be desperate 4. To seek diligently (by attaining enough knowledge) 5. To purpose yourself to only do His will Acts 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Luke 24:49 - And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Why I write this to you is because personally, when my heart was in the state of the points mentioned above, I was filled with the Holy Spirit the same moment I asked. No need to wait, examine your heart; what do you want most? And Why? "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Not so sure about your point of attaining enough knowledge for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I was in the occult and needed 3 deliverances in two months time. After the third, I instantly received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Got tongues that night and some other supernatural stuff happened. I still consider myself a baby Christian, even though I went to church most of my early life before lukewarmness happened for almost a decade, marrying an unbeliever, then falling into New Age and occult practices. I'm working through reading the whole Bible now, no where near done yet, not apart of a church yet. But I love communicating, worshipping, and praying to God along with devouring scripture and researching history of each book of the Bible. I think it varies person to person.

@@mabdesk7938 I was not raised in the church but my experience in church as a child was from non-charismatic denominations. As far as the experience itself, nothing left my body right before the experience, I sensed the immediate presence of the holy ghost as it descended upon my body. I do however believe in deliverance! Leading up until that time I read about the baptism of the holy spirit in the word, it came up in sermons and was mentioned in devotions I was reading. I recognized the Lord was getting my attention, and that started my seeking!

You don't have to speak in tongues as a sign of baptism in the holy ghost. It can be manifested in other ways. Paul said "Do all speak in tongues?"

In the book of Acts speaking in tongues is what followed the baptism of the Holy Spirit described in scripture. It makes me happy to see so many of you in pursuit of love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, it also makes me worry that so many are seeking for that so-called "Baptism with the Holy Spirit" by Assembly of God (Pentecostal) church. In all honestly I've heard first time for that church when I've found this video. So I gave it a quick look and as soon as I've seen that they do not venerate our most Holy Mother of God I knew right away that something is wrong. Even the slightest deviation from the true faith is extremely dangerous and you should be really careful in whom do you place your trust and what places of warships you attend to. I cannot stress that enough so please be very careful. As for the "speaking in tongues" to which many comments are referring to has got me worried even more when I've found out that it is spoken in the UNKNOWN language. In the Bible it is said, that the crowd heard the Apostles preach in their own native tongues, not some unknown language. They ALL (people of different nations) understood every word they were saying. That is because God was speaking through them, did Jesus ever spoke unknown words to us? Everything that our God has told us was and will ALWAYS be clearly understood by everyone. I must confess that I'm still learning about our Christian faith, that I was just recently Baptized and that every day is a struggle and constant battle against my worst enemy - me. So I am not asking you to trust my words blindly, I only ask you to do your own research, to be extra careful but most of all to pray to our Lord for guidance and truth! By the way, did you knew that having Holy Spirit is what makes us Holy? Many people through history has devoted their lives to the God and still only handful has ever attained it after (from our perspective) unspeakable selfless sacrifices and hardships they've endured for the love of the God. For them it was by free choice and they all did it out of pure joy and love for our God. Know that no one of them ever asked God for anything other than mercy (forgiveness), and they were all bestowed upon with Holy Spirit not because they've asked God for It, but because God deemed them worthy of receiving it. Love is and will always be the best way to get closer to God. But love is selfless and and the one that loves never ask anything in return. Love we have for our God will and should always be enough for any of us. That is the love which only gets stronger and stronger with time as long as we have Jesus in our thoughts and hearts every day. Our Holy Fathers said that the more they loved Jesus, the more they've felt they're not loving Him enough (most likely because we'll never come even close to the endless love Jesus have for us all)! Illogical as it may sound, that is a good way to know that we're on the right path. :) God Bless you all and please love and respect our most Holy Mother of God because Her Son will love you more for it!

Thanks for your feedback, though we might not agree on doctrinal issues, it does sound like we can agree on Jesus. I would encourage you to search the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and teach you in truth. From the way you are writing it appears you may be catholic, which I am not. It’s encouraging that you a mention you are still learning in your faith, keep seeking Jesus!

Bible say repent and be baptised with the holy spirit. You said jesus convicted your sins you needed to repent from. As i understand we need to repent change our mind, choose to not wanting to sin again? Recive the holy spirit, he lives in us and makes us not wanting to sin again making us feel sorrow for our sins and getting rid of everything unholy that we didnt know were unholy? Without the holy spirit we cant truly repent like feel sorry for our sins. Change our minds choose not to sin again and then recive jesus so he can change us and help us? Thats how i understand it.

@@yllas123 repentance is something that is continual! The way my experience has been is that it’s a journey of deeper conviction and an awareness of things that may be out of order in my life. God will relentlessly pursue these areas as I journey in a walk of repentance. Repentance means turning the other way. So I turn from sin and choose to follow Christ. As I follow Christ He produces more of His character and desires in my heart and conforms us to His image. We continually become more like Christ as we grow in Him. We will never “arrive” until we join the Lord in heaven but we continually grow in Christ and become more like Him. Have I sinned since accepting Christ and choosing repentance? Of course but I choose not to stay there and keep seeking Christ and obeying His commands. We grow in godliness through relationship with our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit immediately upon salvation, but the baptism of the holy spirit that I am testifying to refers to the outpouring of the holy spirit as described in the book of acts. In the description of the video there a good teaching on the matter. Maybe this helps explain my testimony or highlights any of your questions you may have. Each persons walk and journey with the Lord is personal and unique!

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. I would encourage you to not take ownership of the darkness and believe and walk in the light! Repentance is critical but it sure does make the enemy mad. Remember the truth and who you are in Christ, you have authority in Jesus name if you have accepted Him as Lord and savior to cast darkness out of your life. I would encourage you to get into a local church or body of believers who can walk and pray with you through your discipleship journey! Jesus is mighty to save and deliver us!

@@itisfinished4418 I wanted to post an update because I was really crazy last night and I was seeking help from people left and right but I realized that the Lord will use these things to teach us just like job! Crisis capsized my life for the betterment and benefit for me and his kingdom and it took me a minute to realize that but he is good and he sees that I am realizing this and that I have to keep pushing through because this is the walk I never genuinely started I just believed in him and enjoyed the blessings but didn't understand that I had to keep walking with him 😭😭😭 I understand the gospel now I know what I have to do! I had my spiritual Awakening 2 years ago with all the corruption and stuff Jesus showed me all the evil in the world and now he's showing me what it means to follow him and how to be saved it's a repentant journey it's something we live every day it's not a one-time event my friend we have to keep walking with him every day he needs me need him we need his forgiveness we have to be obedient to him I did not know this before it's changing my life!!

I do not believe we should just keep fighting and fighting for the Holy Spirit, He will come one day, we should be patient and keep fighting. Receiving The Holy Spirit is easy, keeping Him is harder. He can be grieved and insulted and walk away.

The Holy Spirit is a person and naturally speaking in a spiritual sense, what happens when a person displeases God He gets angry, The Holy Spirit leaves a person. Think about logically speaking. Think about Ex bishops, Ex pastors, Ex deacons/church assistants etc.

I'm sorry that you may have perceived it that way however that is not what was being described. I do not identify with anything of the new age or mythology, this was a testimony of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe in the one true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jesus Christ rescued me from my sin and gave me new life and He is returning soon! God bless you!

@@itisfinished4418 The Apostles had already repented, so all that was left was for then to be spiritually baptised, (the promise, as given to Abraham)) baptised into identification with Jesus and his righteousness. Jesus was baptised into the will of the Father, which was to fulfil all righteousness. How was Jesus baptised?.. from the feet up, he walked into the river, (feet wet) He was then baptised when the water was deep enough for his whole body to be fully submerged. so the water went from toe to head. Experiencing the spirit and being baptised by spirit are not one and the same!.

Hey there, thanks for watching! Doubts are natural, don't be discouraged. I believe God is increasing your curiosity about Him and the truth. Anyway, I was saved several months before this experience. After coming to the end of rope and in my brokenness I cried out to Jesus and asked Him to forgive me of my sins and invited Him into my heart and made Him Lord. I was sick of my sin and needed a savior. God demonstrated being real to me that while I was yet still a sinner Christ died for me. When I accepted Jesus, I had a powerful salvation experience and everything in my life began to change. Just know Jesus loves you so much that He chose to die on the cross for your sins and the sins of the world so that we could be restored into a relationship with God, He was buried in a tomb and was raised from the grave 3 days later. He demonstrated His power over sin and death and through faith in Christ has given us victory all the same. The Bible tells us to confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord and we shall be saved. The gospel is the power of God for salvation, the good news of Jesus' death, and what it means in the life of the lost sinner. He makes all things new!
