I think I hate you. I don't think I could play like that in a million years! Enjoyed it very much❤️

Such a beautiful player -- absolute command of the instrument, freeing him to say whatever he wants through it. Does he ever perform in the States?

Tellement beaucoup de bons Saxophonistes! Merci a "You Tube"; non de plus a Herbin, saxiste extraordinaire. Lohvissimo!

just got my Vandoren A5 S+ today! i am very happy with! even the tip-opening is quite small, the sound can be very big :-) i tried 2 A5 and 2 A6, every one was quite different! i use my A5 S+ with fiberreed carbone. which gives me some more upper partials without compromizing the beautiful round and warm sound of the mtpc :-) so i can cover the whole spectrum from very soft palying a la paul desmond to the more pushy style like cannonball adderley ;-) best regards from switzterland :-) G-SAX

I got the exact mouth piece like shown above. I thought, I might not sound like Baptiste, but, I can produce the exact same sound as Baptiste. I just love this new V16 A5 S+.

I bought two, v16 a5s and v16 a7s because of Baptiste Herbin. I played the a5s for a year and loved it, I got the a7s just to explore these mouthpieces more. Both are excellent, there is not much sound difference, but I prefer the more open lay of the a7s.

His style and sound reminds me of Eric Dolphy. He’s amazing.
@13bKalighat28 күн бұрын
Dear you, there's nothing Dolphy about Herbin's play. You have to control your sincere enthusiasm and avoid very, very risky comparisons, to put it mildly... Friendly advice.

Anybody have experience with these mpcs on a vintage alto? I have a 1924 Conn New Wonder; it's supposed to want a large chamber mpc. But, I visited VD in La La Land, and the smaller chamber works better on the NW than the medium. Go figure.
