In my opinion Flick is fair and he was supporting Pena from the beginning there must be something very strong for him to make that decision maybe Pena isnt dealing with pressure well, maybe all of the loss in laliga affected his mentality. I just find it odd because Szczęsny said in many interviews for Polish media that he doesn't feel the pressure of being number one, he achieved in his career a lot and coming back from retirement he was happy to compete and if not playing then support with his experience throughout training. For him it was as simple as the club that I respect so much asked for help so I will help. He retired from Polish team to give chance to the other GK. That makes me think that its so much more to it then we think.
