1. Pick an outline to start with and divide it into manageable sections 2. Divide outline into sections that make sense 3. Then memorize one part of the sections , work through it piece by piece 4. Example for starting w/ torts 5. Start with one section, read through that section once 6. Then put the outline aside and see how much you know 7. Then see what you can list 8. The first time you do this, you won’t memorize everything 9. See what you missed, then go through it again 10. You may have to go through it 4,5 times, then go to the next section 11. Visual learners benefit from rewriting 12. Try repeating concepts out loud

Some great points! I am using the Method of Loci and other mnemonics to memorize. I must point out that "Learning Styles" have been shown to be unfounded and without proof.

And yes, it is best not to overly rely on learning styles (e.g. you may have a visual preference toward learning one thing and a kinesthetic preference toward another) but they still have value in determining how one best approaches memorization. How should someone structure their day if an outline is like 100 pages, and you have everything else to do for a day?

That is a great question. The first step would be to get manageable outlines (if at all possible!). 100 pages *may* be manageable if the outline is very spaced out. (Like some commercial courses have very long outlines but they are spaced out with a lot of examples.) Then, I would recommend dividing them up and going section by section. If you are trying to memorize very quickly (cramming the material) focus on the highly tested topics. For example, homicide is tested in Criminal Law a lot more than some of other topics.
