Just gave it a go this week, it's dang good. Gives you time and customization to be as goofy or as serious as you want, all kinds of unit options It feels similar to supreme commander with the silly experiment units and commander mech The scary bit was the keys, truly too many to keep track of, but it's been easy as Cake to operate everything with the mouse, arrow keys for the camera It's weird that it's in alpha, given most of the vids are a year old. Now if only I could string scenarios 1 after the other, a campaign if you will

I think you’re missing an opportunity by only doing 1v1s in the pro league. I think 4v4s would be perfect in addition to the 1v1 leagues. This game shines when the scale is bigger.

The X-Factor build is starting with the commander at the base, doing some building there, then continuing to build at some close mex cluster. This is repeated for all mex clusters close to the base. Am I understanding this correctly? You could name this strategy "star traversal" leaned to a type of graph in graph therory: In a star graph, there is one central node (often referred to as the "hub") and n outer nodes (sometimes called "spokes" or "leaves"). Each outer node is connected to the central node with a single edge, and there are no other edges in the graph. This creates a structure that visually resembles a star, with the central node at the center and the outer nodes radiating outwards.

mine layer unit does it costs resources to lay a mine, hover units in the game? do they trigger mines ?

Mines cost resources (metal + energy) to build and energy to keep them cloaked. They are proximity mines, so they do explode when hovers are near/over them.
