Moving at the speed of slow... Everyone under estimates the memory and energy needed to be a good bartender. Especially if you're in a restaurant, taking food orders while also running service bar, now keep your tabs straight and get them paid.

I never wrote anything down and could handle a 50 + party by myself. I trained many and I mean many who couldn't even get a table of 6 order right even when writing it down. It used to baffle me. I also got amazing tips because I never wrote stuff down. Now give me someone's name and I'm gonna forget it unless I use everyday

@@greeneyedgal8270 Good service isn't really that hard to provide, but it seems so many can't do it. I can't handle more than 4 without writing it down, but I'm old and I drink too much, so there's that. But I know I need to write it down, and hence the service is still great. And yeah, I get you on names, I can barely remember the regulars, but remember their drinks, but as a note to the good service they receive, they always remember my name. I've even been flagged down at both jobs because they remember me from the other.

This is exactly what I loved about these rescue series. Every crappy failing job has employees who really care, try hard, want to learn and do better. There are always people who want to elevate the place they work for so they can be proud of everything about it, not just their own performance. They are the ones who should be 'head of', 'supervisor', 'manager' because they are the ones who will encourage good workers to stick around, pick up the pace and standards of subpar workers, and give everyone a fire to be better today. Every business rescue depends on finding your rockstars, getting everyone up to their standards, and not slacking off once the money comes back.

Ashley is the kind of bartender that makes people want to come back to wherever she's working, because of her skills, personality, professional demeanor , sense of humor .. to put it simply she makes you feel like you want to be there. I get the impression she is the kind of bartender that actually looks after her customers knows what they like., but also knows when to cut them off for their own safety and would go out of her way to make sure they got home in one piece. She is literally bartender royalty.. a person who cannot only do the job, but also teach a complete newcomer not only the basics but also bring them up in skill level as well without feeling threatened.

Jesse from the hookah place was wearing a Phi Beta Sigma shirt. Every Sigma I've met had a drive and a spark under his ass, so seeing how little attention he was paying to his bar was still painful to watch.

As entertaining as it is to watch shitty employees go down in flames, it is so much more gratifying to see good employees get rewarded for their dedication and hard work.

15:38 I dunno. Which one goes where? I dunno. Corrie doesn’t deserve to be a manager since she doesn’t know what to do or doesn’t care!

I forgot they were here in Milwaukee. Nick was going through withdrawal. Lots of alcoholics here in WISCONSIN. Shit, I'm drunk now. Fucked up and about to pass the hell out. Ashley is phenomenal and I teared up when she got promoted. Or, vodka splashed on my face. Nevertheless, I'm happy for her.

I've watched a lot of this sort of rescue show, including having watched all of Ramsay's shows since he started the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares. Ashley is, by an incredible margin, the best member of staff I've seen in any of them.
