Do you think it would be possible for both Cameroun "province" as I would call them to live under the same president? I'm from Cameroon but I always lived in Canada and here the country is separated by province that each has their own flags. Canada faced a similar problem in 1840 because it was colonized by the french then the united-kingdom. Only one province out of 13 is predominantly speaking french but Canada is a bilingual country (I learned French and English throughout my academic progress and I'm fluent in both). We're living in peace with the anglophone and everywhere in Canada, you can receive services in the two official languages. Each province as a provincial government and we all are united under the federal government. In my opinion, the official should handle the anglophone crisis just like Canada did: 2 provinces, 2 provincial flags, 2 provincial governments, 2 different school systems, 2 different law systems, 2 official languages, 1 flag for the whole country, 1 federal government and 1 president.
