After some fine adjustments I settled on a bar/stem combo that best suits my riding position. Really wanted the one-piece bar/stem clean look but... it just didn't work out for me, ☹️

Pinarello, 😳 they make some nice Bikes!! The ACRs are nice as well. I have a set of ACRs I’m putting on my Bianchi build. Also, if you want another bar solution, check out the KNØT bar system. Thanks for the info, nice to see someone talk about the details that matter when testing and considering different bars. I’m looking into getting the blackincs at 40cm wide and 100mm stem. Let me know if you want me to take one of your hands lol

Really appreciate the feedback! The Black Inc bars are REALLY nice! I had them on my Madone 7, 🙂 Are you aware of the *new Black Inc bars? 👀 They’ve been redesigned to have a better shape, more ergo, and have a -10 stem instead of the -6. Currently they’re only available in a full bike build, ☹️ I’ve sent a few emails to Black Inc and Factor regarding the sale of the bars individually but no one has responded back… All the bars from the Video I’ve sold. Currently running a Tarmac SL7 stem and Vision Metron bars in 38cm on my Emonda. Been recently looking at the FarSports integrated bar/stem as well. They make a 36cm, 😮 #RobbArmstrong

I NEED a Bar! Buried under the pressure of upgrading my bar. The number of bars coming from the Chinese, further confusing with the number of different angles, materials, cable routing strategies, weight, strength, look…aaahhgghh! Have you seen the new coefficient bars? I have a 2021 Checkpoint SL 7 Force AXS SRAM. I use my phone as my bike computer. I crashed a week ago and broke the Bontrager carbon bars that came with bike. I don’t have the extra cash to make a mistake in what bar I purchase; everything I want in a bar, all the compatibility questions have to line up in one try. Are you seriously selling a bar? (Oh yeah, what’s the machine gun on the couch??)

Sounds like a big decision to make. I would not go with a Chinese bar. I been down that road and *WOULD NOT Recommend it… Regarding me selling Bars, this is an *old Video. Every one of these bars have been sold already, ☹️ If weight isn’t a concern I’d *HIGHLY recommend the Cannondale bar system. They are heavy but the Check ✅ every box! I’m currently running them of two(2) of my bike builds. Absolutely love them! Those Roval bars are NOICE!! & I agree with you on the traditional 2-piece system. You can always get the *pitch and fit you want. That’s why I went with the KNOT Bar/Stem combo. Looks like a one-piece but offers the versatility of a two-piece and then some! iLove how the KNOT system lets you adjust the pitch. It’s perfect! & side-note, everyone needs a sub-machine gun, 🫶🏾🤣 #RobbArmstrong

Man I'm just starting to look those Vision Metron aero ..To run on the 2023 Cervelo Soloist..I once had the Zipps aero bars if you know those ones? But I didn't really like them:( Hopefully the Visions are nicer fit/better all around..?

I really like the Vision bars. My only complaint is with the 1-piece bar and stem joints. They don’t make them very narrow, ☹️ I prefer 38cm and under bars. I do know the Zipp bars you’re talking about. I’ve heard GREAT things about them and they are priced fairly well. Way cheaper than the Vision’s for sure, 💵 #RobbArmstrong

Hey Robb, I just joined and subscribed to your channel. Were you able to use the headset conversion spacers with the new vision or you used some after market adapters? Have you ever came across conversion adapters that would allow the Madone SLR stem to work on other 28.6 headsets? If there is a contact to share please do. Thanks for sharing Brother.

I found a clean/seamless transition spacer for the Emonda and its for the Vision ACR Bars. I really like those bars but I could never find one in the *size I wanted. I'm currently running the Tarmac s-works stem with the standard Trek spacers. The Tarmac stem looks *SUPER clean on the Trek. At one point I was running the Carbon Zipp SL Sprint stem but IMO the Tarmac stem looks better so I switched it back out. & Thanks for the subscription, much appreciated!! #RobbArmstrong

Are you leaning for a 1-piece joint or a Stem/Bar combo? The ENVE SES bar paired with the ENVE stem is what’s up! My buddy runs that setup on his custom titanium build. I really like the extreme flare of those bars as well. *Dope, 🔥 #RobbArmstrong

I hear you, options aren’t a bad thing, 😎 I love the Tarmac stem. Super clean and streamline. The ENVE Stem is expensive but… you get a lot of options! It come with a special insert and how you install it will determine its stem angle. I wanna say it’s something like -6, -12, -7, & -17. Thats huge regarding bike-fit, getting comfy and having options to ride lower or higher. My current bikes both have -17 stems on them, which makes thins limited if I ever want a 1-piece bar. I like the ENVE options. Four(4) angles, One(1)☝🏽price, 😎 #RobbArmstrong

I’ve had two(2) sets of Black Inc bars and bought them both second-hand. The only thing additional I had with my bars was the integrated Garmin mount and I added a K-Edge accessory mount. I’d assume you’ll need additional spacer to achieve the *fit you want. Lastly, those new Domane’s are NICE!! 🔥 #RobbArmstrong

Mmm, I can’t answer that, it’d be very subjective to say. IMO, anything can *work if you make it. I mess around with a lot of stuff and have built all my Bikes. I’ve been to A BUNCH of Bike shops asking questions and they often tell Me “Oh, that wouldn’t work” but… I figured it out and made it work. Same as my current setup on my Trek SL7 with the Cannondale KNOT Bar System. A Cannondale dealing shop told me it wasn’t possible. Oh but it is and my install looks seamless. You’d have to really look at your SL5 and see how things are wired/connected and what piece play nice with what. Like a game of legos so to speak. Hopefully that provides you some insight. #RobbArmstrong

The one-piece bar/stem Vision's I had, I sold, ☹ But... I have two(2) other sets of Vision bars I'm about to throw on ebay. One is the: Metron Aero Metron and the other is the: 4D FLAT M.A.S. (you can add aero bars to these) both in 38cm. #RobbArmstrong
