That Flea pilot making the silly racecar sounds gave me a chuckle. I'm also glad he cleared comms before things got hot.

If I'm piloting an assault mech and in a active firefight, facing an enemy and somebody walks up in front of me I continue firing. Don't be a moron, don't block assault mechs, stay far behind them so the assault mech's have plenty of room to fall back out of a firefight. Assault mechs can't disengage like mediums and heavies, assault mechs need a lot more room to move around.
@ThouArtOfWar07244 жыл бұрын
Wrong way to handle it but ok. I also main assault and heavies
@therealdohos26074 жыл бұрын
Usually when someone comes up to my assault mech and start stickin at my front armor i believe they are just disapointed with how their teamates are fighting and its kind of their way to suicide legitimately. Much better than powering off in a dark corner or simply quit the match in the middle of the fight.
@Arkeli54 жыл бұрын
Blocking is annoying for everyone. Under fire it happens. I think you handle your frustrations quite well Bara. I would be raging on my mic and video :D A lot of editing would be needed if I recorded. But I'm Irish and kinda disposed to being narky :D TLDR: During a push, stick to a side, don't stop or back up, don't rotate out across team-mates firing lines. Call a target, kill asap don't leave mech's half hurt. If enemy has a firing line and is ready for the push. Fast movers go in first and just run through disrupting the line as best they can, once attention is on you, call it and rest of team now push. Repeat, call target, kill asap, don't leave half mech's :D A few things to keep in mind for any new players (even vets could probably keep this in mind, me included). If a push is called, it is important to all go together but how you move is important too. If you are left, stay left do not cross your team by moving right. Same for the right. If moving through a gap or up a ramp, pick a side and try to leave room. Don't stop and don't back up. Push to one side as soon as you clear the gap/ramp. If you took a lot of fire and are badly injured but can maybe get to some cover at the top of the ramp, do so. If you can rotate behind a team-mate, do so (to break enemy sight not to block, don't hug). Trying to survive is not a crime but blocking or crossing friendly fire will just lead to you dying even quicker and stopping your team from taking advantage of the fact you are being focused. If the enemy team has a good firing line setup, I would not advise pushing that (Unless you out-tonne them a lot) and I would say so if a push is called. Instead fast movers should move in and get on the backs of the enemy team. As soon as they have the line disrupted you then push the rest of the team into the fight. Everyone thinks assaults should be first in but in terms of a well prepared enemy firing line I would disagree with that. However on the flip side, it is very important that once your fast movers have disrupted the firing line that you all push in immediately. At this stage fast movers can retreat to the friendly push, rotate out, drop, get cover, whatever they have to do to survive and come back in on the backs of enemies. If this is done correctly you will win a lot of matches. Of course it relies on mech composition and pilot skill etc. Even the best, well oiled comp teams can mess up a push but often it is because a push is called before the team is ready for it and the other one *is.* Sometimes you just have to let the game unfold a little before making any rash decisions. But once a decision is made you need to go as a team, no hesitation and applying the hints above. Good Luck and I hope to win a match with you soon ;D

I fully agree on calling things as they happen. I'm a career heavy/assault pilot on MWO and people will stop in front of you. I think we've all done it at some point. It's not malicious; not done to block someone. It just happens. Just try and show situational awareness.

I would suggest a mouse which has numpad on the thumb side. No problem to have the 6 fire groups easily manageable. You want a sniper mouse button too(ring finger). When you push it it will reduce the dpi of your mouse. Perfect for sniping or pinpointing.

Lol, I was going to comment something in line with this. You didn’t get to shoot as much because Rkshz was just efficiently killing red mechs with focused damage. 6 kills. Dude is scary efficient.

@@jpeterson9087 Yeah, he was piloting that Madcat II-B at 9:25 and got the first two kills.
@jpeterson90874 жыл бұрын
@@BrokenCurtain Yup, he loves those clan MCIIs. I was surprised he didn't do more damage with that many kills since it's the dakka build and not the gauss ERML one he runs on the DS, so not as easy to be precise like I originally thought... However... After looking at the end screen again, I think another large factor for why damage was so low for everyone was the lack of relative tonnage on the enemy side. They had *an* assault, while Baradul's team had 4. 5 lights on the other side too, vs 2 on Baradul's (and can you really count an urbie as a light?) So the enemy team just had less armor in play, and melted so much faster with less damage dealt on either side as a result. But they also got Rkshz'd... ;P Shame Baradul didn't climb that first ramp again, or he'd have gotten more of the action...
@Spartan1204 жыл бұрын
Yeah, 2nd enemy team was out-tonned and facing Baradul + Rkshz. They fought hard enough to get 5 kills without it being a total stomp but matchmaker was drunk again. Though I wanna see Baradul do a youtuber sync-drop with 3 other channels to see how much carnage they can unleash. :)

It always irritates me that the weapon sizes on the mechs have no consistency. A medium laser is the same size as a heavy gauss? I bet if you put a PPC or ER large laser or micro laser in the same slot on this mech, they would all be the same size.
@chrisr2514 жыл бұрын
Your team mates on the first game had NO situational awareness. They kept getting in your way, stopping, and stepping into your line of fire. That was not normal. It was crap game play on their part.
