I do best with beam lasers on builds with ECM. You would think the beams would give you away but I still got ignored in a Timberwolf and was able to get my first Ace of Spades in the 12 years ive been playing lol.

I just had an INSANE game with my king crab build, I can’t remember the exact model off the top of my head, but I have two UAC-20s, four ERMLs and 4 LRM-5s with a ton of ammo and XL engine. It is s c a r y within ~250 meters

I've been running this with the UAC10. it can be a little spicy in sustained fights but that'll happen anyway with the beams preventing cooling

This will be interesting when the IIC gets a similar jump jet thrust buff the IS highlander did. Should make getting to good positions to beam from easy.

Beam lasers are overpowered this patch. UAC20 looks even better as ballistic weapon. And Orion IIc does the same, but without jumps

First! And...I love Highlanders. Maybe not as much as I love Death Blimps (Stalkers), but still...it's gotta be weird to shoot the continuous beam lasers w/a gauss. Like, how do you know your gauss hit?

The beam lasers still seem pretty lack luster. The damage is just not good enough and the venting mechanic is very prohibitive in brawling situations.
