So, some perspective. Remember in MW5Merc, the Rasalhauge DLC? Recall Mirborg was that Hopper Jockey, and after he was terribly injured, you got a cut scene where he calls out to his daughter that he just wants her to have a world free? Her name was Tyra. Tyra Mirborg. Well, 18 years later she is screening the escape of the crown prince of the FRR (that was the jumpship that jumped out). When she took a hit that was unrecoverable without docking, and there was no longer a ship to dock with (all three Mech and assault ships had gotten pasted as seen in the cut scene), she chose to honor her father's legacy and give everything for her homeland. She set a direct course for the exterior bridge of the Dire Wolf and engaged full military afterburners. Instantly ended IlKhan Leo Showers, and nearly, the Wolf Khan as well. Ironically, the love of her life, Phelan Kell was a Bondsman, and saved The Wolf Khan. As many others have said, this is pulled almost perfectly from the words written in the 'Blood of Kerensky" Trilogy concerning the Clan invasion.

If you haven't read the book series tied to the events in Twycross i'd recommend that too. They were even made into audiobooks. Perfect for learning how the invasion halted due to heroic sacrifice, while driving through the country. ;)

See, had Barudal watched BPL's latest Battletech video; he would of known about the lore at the end of the video. I loved the space cut scene. My favorite part of MW2 Ghost Bear was the mission were your mech defended your dropship while in space. What I really find comical in this game is how they make a big deal how badly injured one of their star mates was. Yet, they had enough time to have a brawl and still no medical help had arrived.

6*ERLL were my go-to for the 2-3 missions the Warhawk were needed. Then the box of boxes - Daishi were unlocked. DWF with 13 MPL and 2 ERLL were my 2 finishing builds for energy :P

If they have some kind of magnetic boots or something like that, yea they seem like excellent, very unpredictable PD. Unlike traditional capital ship battles where fighters might use a blind spot, there could be a mech anywhere on that hull. Of course they're no match for large capital turrets, or even PD with a lot of heatsinks for raw firepower. Still, use 'em if you got 'em.

Good range good firepower and you also can use them in brawls :) And for anyone who wonders. the blue markings in Mia´s face are the sign that he has a neuro implant now. The most fanatic clan warriors can have that implemented into their heads to get a direct connection to the system of the battlemechs without need of a common neuro helmet. Its supposed to make the responds of the mech to control imputs signigicantly more accurate and faster. But it has a high risk of cripple the brain of the warrior if the implantation failed. And according to the lore materials most mech warriors thinks the benefits isnt worth the risk. Hope this information helps o7

Looks up The Black pants Legion's "Turning point at Twycross", it spoilers pretty much the main events of up to the timeskip. The Dire Wolf scene is where the Raselhague kind's ship jumped into what was thought to be an empty system but turned out to be the centre of the clan invasion. The ship had a battery that left it charge its jump drive twice in a row but it needed time. Myra Tyraborg's kamikaze run was after she had bought time for the king of Raselhague to retreat, with her ship damaged and only one ally left she took her ship's limiters up, pointed at the bridge of the dire wolf, which was the HQ for the entire clan invasion and opened the throttle up. The clans had to hop back up their 1000 light year logistics chain and have a powow over the new leader. Ironically while the clans politicked the inner sphere forged alliances, picked over salvage (they did take salvage at Walcott after all) to create new designs (including battle armour and omnimechs) and started spinning their colossal military industrial complex up and started building machines designed to employ tactics which would help limit the effect of the massive tech gap in quantities that let them bury the invaders in deluge of steel and bodies and analysed the tactics and strategies of the clans for weaknesses, they found many. They had won several battles but only two worlds, however those sucesses had taught them a lot. At the same time they met in secret because they finally figured out that Comstar had been monitoring their comms for the last 300 years (well no, one of the Mariks figured it out around 150 years earlier but he never shared that revelation) and realised the HPG was utterly compromised. The clans on the other hand learned very little in that time. And that's where the video ends. Also Mia's weird tattoo is an interface that makes her a better pilot at the cost of gradual brain damage. The beating she took changed her that much.

Why I feel there was some cut content in here because everything did a decent job explaining things up until this point. I understood things after the fact as I understand the lore but, the fact it jumps around is what made it confusing. Especially when the main focus on the game isn't role playing as a merc, but being apart of a story of the clan invasion.

I don't know how the game works, but as you progress through the weight classes it would seem to make more sense to at least give each pilot an affinity for a weight class for it's buff, even if you end up switching to different Chassis within the weight class. Later, add a specific chassis, assuming that the buffs stack.

The only REAL issue I have with the game is the thing happened to You Baradul at the end of this video. Everything is happening all at once after eachother with no control from me. We cannot even pause or rewind, just skip the whole thing. The fight Mia vs Wimmer should have been after the mission by the press of a "continue" button where the game saves one autosave. And then when going for the mission board there could have been a "fake mission" aborted before with a little info before going to the Miraborg Sacrifice/Kamikaze, AND then a "continue"-button with another autosave and a small 2-line exchange to know if time have transpired more clearly. As it is now... I finished this mission to late in the evening and were stuck stressed out not being in control + needed to go to the bathroom :P

@Baradul....I noticed something and I went back ti confirm it in this video and I am more than sure all past vids of this series. There is 👻🔥 ..... ghost heat. When you shot the 4 ERPPCs, it gave you 57 🔥from the 4 🔥from just moving the mech , that's 53 🔥in a ALPHA strike @ 23:09. However when you chain fired @ 25:47 , you shot 1 ERPPC and it went from 65 to 75 HEAT which obvious is 10. so by math alone it ought to be 40 🔥when shooting all 4 ERPPCs and not 53🔥. Every time you went and chained fire any energy-related weapon, you got more out of them vs an ALPHA strike... Just a FYI next time you are in a prolonged dogfight.

In the Mission where you are one shotting mechs after setting the bait. The mission includes repair bays. If Kurita is trying to get information about your mechs technology does it not make sense that if you pull your clan mech into the bay that it would scan the mech and send the information that they are looking for back while it is added a few armor plates? These bays should be a data trap themselves. Thoughts?

hmm does ultras double tap since what i have seen so far they shoot fast until they jam, tough shooting only 3-4 shots lower jams ppc build is quite fun but extremely toasty... you get more melting with 4-5 large laser / large pulse lasers... ppcs also have large splash so they easily do friendly fire

Why is the missile hardpoint on the arm? I thought the Warhawk's missile point was on the torso. That immediately struck me as off. That being said, the story is going pretty interesting. The original Warhawk sheet from the tabletop game had the LRM on the left arm. It was often placed on top of the shoulder in artwork though. For this game, I believe they placed it low on the arm so an SRM placed there shoots from the point you are already aiming with. Trying to aim the shoulder missiles on the Black Knight Partisan and Banshee Siren in Mercs was always tough.

Check Sarna for the trial lore. "More commonly than a formal Trial of Grievance is the informal version. These usually involve single low-ranking warriors over issues that are not considered important. Immediately after the batchall, the two engage in negotiations, which are themselves quick. With 6 MP lasers and 7 er small lasers on a Timberwolf why take a hot box warhawk? Hayden and Ezra both have energy range buffs and then there is research as well as mech affinity. That all means range is irrelevant as almost no battle is over 700 meters.

Enemy targeting is based on DPS being done. If you are always the target, your star isn't being setup or positioned well enough. Making sure they have a well-cooled build and commanding them to places with good sightlines helps. They do not do well if you keep them following in formation.

Warhawk is a trash mech. And PPC is a mediocre weapon in this game. For example, look at its left torso. It's completely locked, with only 50+ armor on it. Omnipods are crapy too.

Wimmer kicked the ass of Perez off screen after the bombing of Edo. So... Im not so sure about that. Also... he let Mia fight because she was the one that asked for the Circle of Equals

​​@@KoniZooboo Idk if there's any novel that determined that in detail, but if not, I would imagine there to be more than one trial, first one between Wimmer and Perez over his censure and demotion, and second, one or more trials of ascension for his position, which was ultimately won by Dietr Osis.

@@SonsOfLorgar I've never read any of the books. I'm going only by what is shown in the game. In game, Wimmer does nothing to stop Perez's decision to bomb Edo, and is rebuked for it (along with all the other command staff) by Sarah Weaver. We only see the end of the trial between Dietr Osis and Perez which results in his demotion and Osis's promotion. Since Jayden and Mia are not in any books either, I'm simply going by what is in the game.

Stupid Liam, he shoulda ran while saying it was a trap instead of standing there talking about it. Also it faster to slide down the ladder than going down it like he did.
