I thought drone were banned over there? Or can you fly them as long as you have a permit and licence?

Hi Josh, this video was shot back in 2014... there is currently a 'temporary' ban on the importation of drones/UAVs in Barbados while the government finalise the laws on their use. This doesn't affect any existing rigs on the island, they can still be flown as long as they are licensed and registered.

Hi Jason, the ban on new equipment and licenses is still in place annoyingly. We're hoping it will be lifted very soon but we've been waiting over a year :(

if i wanted to get a license where would i have to go and do you need a license to fly or just to import???

Hi Jason, no new licenses are being issued presently. It's something we're trying to take up with the government as the UAV Assocation. I would suggest joining the group at - facebook.com/groups/1585527881688239/ and helping us get the 'ban' lifted - as presently, that's the only legal route.
