Made me realize we see more with so much more curiosity and excitement when visiting other locations then we do in the place we live everyday. There were shots of people just walking by going through the ingrained habits they've developed while living there, not really caring about the beauty around them. So it is with us, if the people you met in the Caribbean came to our part of the world, they would see beauty in things we just take for granted or didn't even "see". It's only though the eyes of others can we really "see" the world.

100% agree with you ABR :) It's interesting that we need to leave our place in search of mental clarity. Perhaps a mindset shift? I've been thinking of it for a while actually! Great point on people just walking and doing their stuff... and not caring too much about the "paradise". But they would pay attention when travelling. This is very true and super well explained, thanks a lot for sharing this reflection! 🙏

My goodness!! That was a beautiful video. I just came back from Barbados.. I call it my Happy Place. I was there for three weeks. But there was a Volcano and ash from St Vincent. I had a great time but I wanna go back so bad! Thank you for sharing!

Recommendations on where to stay? Would you mind sharing where you stayed during your time? Also, how did you travel from the airport to the location you stayed?

Hi Martha, thanks so much for watching! So I stayed in an Airbnb not too far from Bridgetown. There are 4 areas: west coast (great beaches, restaurants, etc.), north coast (very charming), south coast (quite developed and nightlife) and east coast (more rustic, colourful houses and I believe this is where surfers come). It's up to you what type of trip you want to have :) From the airport you can take a taxi (around $23) or a bus (very affordable, takes a bit longer though). I think they now also have an app called "pickUP Barbados" (similar to Uber) but personally never tried so can't comment too much. Hope you enjoy your time there! 🚀
