SAFETY: I always snorkel with a dive float attached to me (see below) This makes it easy for boats and people on shore to watch out for me. Always be aware of your surroundings. Never assume that the sea-doos or boats will see you. Swimming areas are marked off, but not all snorkel areas are.

Folkestone was amazing. I can't believe the variety of fish so close to the shore and swimming the reefs was beautiful. Spent lots of time here. Snorkelling and eating fish cakes from the snack bar! Can't wait to go back.

sorry for the late reply. See my videos about sunset crest in Holetown. Medical care and all other facitlities all within 5-10 minute walk. I've been to all the ABC islands...learned to windsurf in Bonaire. Reef snorkelling good for small fish, and if you are lucky, turtles. Take a boat tour to wrecks in deeper water for more variety. Barbados has more diversity in landscape(ie hardwood trees, beautiful gardenes, etc. and things to do.

Hi, unfortunately most of the Caribbean is expensive. I get seasick on boats so I seek out places where I can snorkel from shore. Did you see my Roatan snorkel video? It has an awesome reef right off shore, and there are budget places to stay....do your research.

Wrecks make good sites but are often no close in; okay for capable swimmers

yes, that is why I emphasized safety in the description, and that the wreck is some distance from the shore. I always wear a float tied to my waist; I can hang on to it if I get tired; and it is acts as a visible marker of where I am in the water. I also mentioned using a kayak or paddleboard to get to the wreck. Thank you for the comment!

FYI us Brits pronounce Folkestone as ‘Folkston’ we don’t say ‘stone’ at the end .....I actually live 12 miles from Folkestone town on the U.K. south coast .......great video btw thank you 👏
