Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister, Minister for National Security and the Public Service, and Minister for Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment of Barbados, addresses the General Debate of the 79th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 24 - 30 September 2024).
World leaders gather to engage in the annual high-level General Debate under the theme, "Unity and diversity for advancing peace, sustainable development, and human dignity, everywhere and for all." Heads of State and Government and ministers will explore solutions to intertwined global challenges to advance peace, security, and sustainable development.
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.

No. We have much better than her. Great leaders would be like Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore, JFK, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela. She is nothing compared to them and even her speech is nothing much compared to theirs. What about the violence in her ow country? She should take care of that first then talk. Even schools in her Barbados have high rate of violence.

I've noticed for years the absence of women leaders in our world. Also I've noticed the sanity and common sense of most nations ruled by women leaders. After all, women protect their families and they do better than men on cooperative issues. Not that men can't be that way, but men with predatory instincts and the competitive urge usually rise first to power in male-dominated nations. PM Mottley illustrates this perfectly.

This woman was phenomenal in her address to the UN. She spoke a steady stream of fact based truths on the global situation and eloquently so. She pointed out how much the UN charter has slowly shifted farther away from its mandate and how international law has been undermined and is adhered to only when convenient to its UN member states and not consistently and unilaterally. The globe needs to definitely “ reset “ its priorities especially when it comes to climate change and global peace. I would greatly appreciate this articulate, remarkable woman going to bat anytime and anywhere for me. May she continue to shine a light on the inadequacies of the UN, bring awareness to them and seek solutions in the name of the Human Family. Blessings to her, always. Excellent! Excellent! Un nolada had no good purpose except for one BAD one, which was the vote in 1948 when the USA, the English, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. Neura, Tuvalu..they gave a foreign country as a gift to another people who then came and occupied the whole of Palestine and since then we have been seeing the same things from the OCCUPIED STATE OF PALESTINE for 75 years..Un should be transferred to another country: South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore.. the usa has lost credibility.

We love PM Mia Amor Mottley. We are proud of her and Barbados for choosing her as their leader. We wish we could have Mia Mottley as our president in this USA, where the U is more like D for disunited or S for separation from all America and the world. We all as habitant of Mother Earth we need to be united in peace, in love, in light, in fraternity, in healing, in faith, in protection, in unity, in forgiveness, in reconciliation, in transmutation. LOVE to ALL 💕 PEACE to ALL 🕊 and thank you PM Mia AMOR Mottley. Amor = Love

No thank you! She doesn't even have a clue about her Holy Bible, which says that God gave the land to Israel!

Wooooo some of my fam is from Barbados! This woman is awesome! So happy she called our USA as the Arms Dealer we are . Someone needed to say it. I feel like due to this there will be retaliation from Israel becasue sorry they have become something else as a nation due to colonialism Zionists. I hope not. I hope Barbados is protected.
