Andrea Priddy, I just saw that it is a year later and wondered how your honeymoon went? Did you choose Barbados after all? Sandals is very expensive, but it is an amazing place to visit . . . even you just buy a Day Pass (breakfast and lunch) or an Evening Pass (dinner options only)

Em, thanks for sharing one of the most famous resorts in the Caribbean from one of the finest all-inclusive hotel-chains in the world. One tip: please go slowly over the menu-pages so that we can pause the video and read along with you . . . seeing all the items that are available in each venue . . . and imagining what we would choose if we were there. It was disappointing each time that you showed a great restaurant . . . but then it was just a blur over the menu . . . and we did not get to hear you even name and describe the dishes. There is so much more content that you can derive from the culinary aspects of such a magnificent hotel with multiple restaurants, multiple cuisines, and some of the most talented chefs.....After going so far, make a point of interviewing them! The Barbados tourism officials would be delighted.....and so would the featured hotel, I am certain. [smile]

Mimi H, I cannot imagine feeling lonely when she has a boyfriend dutifully spending every moment of these trips with her. [wink] Plus, did you notice how many other people are there to meet and to greet . .. whether it be an all-inclusive hotel . . . or just stepping outside Sandals Barbados and walking the road through the neighbouring districts . . . or being on a cruise . . . all of which is available in and from Barbados.

Kelly Herbert, Accra Beach Resort is nice in its own way, but there is really no fair comparison between 4-star-ish Accra hotel and 6-star hotels/cruise-ships like Sandals (luxury). . . and moreso Sandals Royal (ultra-luxury). Note: Accra Beach is also very well located in the heart of the tourism-sector of the island and conveniently closer to Bridgetown than Sandals, which is closest to little Oistins, the famous fishing village, and the airport.

Wondering if you could answer a few questions please? Booked my honeymoon here was wondering about evening entertainment? Was there much on or to do? Did you have a butler? In deliberation over a swim up club room or butler room ha not sure which one to go for! Do you think you'd miss on much if you didn't have one.

Hey! Sure! They have entertainment on the main stage every evening, we went to a few of the shows but our favourite thing was the silent disco on a Thursday with a chocolate martini night, there’s also a bowling alley and ping pong - we loved ping pong on evenings. We were so tired we went To bed most nights after dinner haha! We had a Butler and it really did make a difference in terms of things like reservations and ease, some people probably use them a lot - we always feel rude so we didn’t ask for anything extra but they would reserve beach beds, pool beds, do reservations and we found it so useful!

@@littlenichol94 you never have to feel shy or embarrassed about asking whatever you want from a butler at such a highly-rated resort in a place like Barbados. Plus, certainly at the likes of Sandal Royal.....you are PAYING (a very high price)for it. So it is the butlers' job to respond to guests' wishes and requests....so that you make the most of every day of every visit.

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator Hi, there aren't any restrictions on using the restaurants unless you have to book and the drinks are all included, premium drinks etc However if your looking for premium Champagne or Prosecco etc you will have to pay a charge.

Phil Beckwith, yes, Sandals hotels are premium all-inclusive resorts; therefore, as with luxury cruise-ships almost everything is included in the (very high) price.

Ad singularly means paid aka a traditional advertisement where someone is paid to feature something , Pr trip means gifted experience or discounted usually with no expectation of coverage 🥰 but I write Ad Pr {it was an unpaid, gifted experience }

Kalani Bishop, are you Barbadian? The authentic local pronunciation is Bar-BAY-duss. Stress is on the second syllable. The last syllable is no longer pronounced as it was in the original Portuguese/Spanish. So Bar-bay "-doze" and "-doss" are common mistakes by foreigners.

So u don’t need the vaccine to enter Barbados? Just a test n then they test u again at the hotel ? So since u have the risk band how long it took for the test to come back . Because I only wanna stay for 3 days . Is it really strict. Do they not make u leave ?

It took us 22 hours to get results, some people 12. If not vac you have to quarantine for 5 days on arrival I believe

Honei, so much has changed in the past 12 months: e.g., all of the COVID-19-related restrictions are gone, though everyone is strongly encouraged to practise good sanitation and hygiene, to be fully vaccinated and up to date with health-protocols, and, of course, to wear a mask in crowded indoor settings....e.g., during flights, in queues, in airports, and in public transportation.

Sammy massey, all that ended more than a year ago....There were many strict protocols just to keep visitors, locals, and the hotels' staff all safe. Nothing worse than being sick during a vacation.....which would be an even worse waste of time and money at a place as expensive as Sandy Lane or Sandals Royal.

kazzicup, you have to put these things in the context of a global pandemic that infected hundreds of millions of people and took millions of lives, while devastating the cruise-industry, the hotel-industry, and the airline industry. These islands, like Barbados, are highly dependent on tourism and they were compelled to take public-health advice seriously in order to make people feel safe to travel again. It is exactly because Caribbean countries did so well with health and safety that the cruise-industry and tourism have re-opened and rebounded amazingly in the past year. All the cruise-companies, in particular, will be forever grateful that, during the couple of years that most other countries outside the Caribbean were refusing entry to ships, Barbados welcomed cruise-lines and showed great care and hospitality to their guests and to their crews. Many countries were not even letting cruise-ships enter their ports, far less dock or get basic supplies! Bottom line: good protocols enabled business to continue and ensured that all those stranded guests and cruise-ship/tourism-workers returned safely home....

You can easily put the great fashion selfies on Instagram, for instance, for those who are more interested in what you are wearing. [smile]
