Barbara Gray was born on May 11, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Evelene Brown-Gray and Billy Earl Lacy Gray whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Babe Ruth Johnson, Earline Davis, and Sherry Lynn Gray; two brothers, Earl Gray, Jr., and Larry Gray.
She received her education from South East High School in Kansas City, Missouri., where she obtained her diploma in the year of 1977.
Barbara was baptized young and became a member of PAMBC. She erved on the usher board, and also a member of the WIA, and sang in the Choir. She loved serving the Lord and would be at choir practice on Tuesday and worshipping at church on Sundays.
She was employed at Westin Crown Center of Kansas City, Missouri for 9 years. Upon her departure from Westin Crown Center, she later became employed by Center School District until her death.
Barbara was loved by many at her job, from staff to students. We know she will be greatly missed. Her loving, caring, bright smile would speak volumes to the kind of person she was. Her kind and caring heart shows through the people she helped throughout her life and she treated everyone the same. Her home was home to anyone she welcomed. Barbara loved having family gatherings and throwing down on some BBQ.
She leaves to cherish behind three children, one daughter, LaToya Gray; two sons, Edward Gray, and DeMario Gray all of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves behind one brother, Donnell Gray (Charlotte); two sisters, Delores Gray, and JaNa Washington-Hayden all of Kansas City, Missouri.
