It doesn't happen often but there are some entertainers whose appreciation from fans transcends their talents. Barbara Eden is one of those people. There is a likeability about her that most people respond to. Something similar I would imagine to the way fans felt about Mary Tyler Moore. My father met her in an elevator in NY City once. God bless him, he wasn't the best with names, so all he could think was to say Jeannie with a smile. Dad says she was gracious. A quick brush with a famous person perhaps but one he always remembered fondly. I believe that Ms. Eden's goodness and joie de vivre shine through. Of course I dream of Jeannie was a wonderfully fun show but she was engaging in many other projects. I'll never forget her TV movie she did with Larry Hagman, A Howling in the Woods. Of course her Harper Valley PTA. Her guest appearances on so many television programs. I was not able to see her performances in Vegas but I believe I caught glimpses of them on TV. She's had her share of heartbreaks of course in life yet she rises above them and relishes and treasures the gift of life and love. Just a wonderful example of a human being. My life has been enriched because of her. Thank you. Godspeed.
