Do people realize it's just a song not a real beef? Shirley didn't even write Woman to Woman, a few men on Stax Records did, and she was offered the song. Barbara Mason, wanting to capitalize off the fact that A. her name is Barbara and B. Woman to Woman was a #1 song in the country, decided to make a response song. The women didn't necessarily really feel this way and they definitely didn't have "beef". Just enjoy the songs.
