I do hope Cheetah returns more wild, more powerful, more strong and ferocious in Wonder Woman 3. Just love how Kristen Wiig has acted and portrayed this character. Too bad there was only one fight scene and that too in her cheetah form. But I hope this is just the introduction or rise of cheetah. Hope to see other villains like Circe, Giganta, Medusa in Wonder woman 3 along with more Amazonian women like Hippolyta, Nubia, Asteria and others. Don't care if wonder woman 3 is 3hours or what but there should be a great story with lots of action and there should be scenes where villains kill people and not all goody goody stuff.

The reason that the Wonder Woman franchise is beginning to suffer such criticism etc etc and that Patty Jenkins script for Wonder Woman 3 was rejected is because Gal Godats Wonder Woman has now faced far too many enemies who've all been tottally wasted 🥴 WW1984 should finnally have been the time for Diana to face a worthy enough villianess with Barbara/Cheetah but they blew it by including Maxwell Lords background story with his son - don't get me wrong, great actor and character etc etc but having two villians takes up far too much time 🤷 if WW1984 included more battles between Diana and Barbara then it would have been a much bigger success 😕

Gotta say I loved Wiig as Barbara Minerva. She did a great job at portraying the character and showing her transition into Cheetah. Love the dark shaded color around her eyes to show her darkness coming out. I look forward to seeing to reprise the role sometime in the future.

People saying that they overpowered Barbara/Chettah just for the thrill of things. But actually, Chettah is one of the few villains who can hold Diana, especially becuse they both had god-like powers (in the New Versions, Chettah is the vessel of a wild Godness of Hunt). So, in this version, maybe she will be two. Hope to see her in the sequel, maybe in a Battle Royale of Godness, with Circe and Medusa by her side. Maybe this is the first step to the League of Injustice rise to the screans (we already have Chettah and Black Manta)

They never read the comics or are in any way familiarized with her story if they think that, as you said Cheetah is one of the few villains that can match Diana's power, where Wonder Woman is an strong trained warrior amazon, Cheetah is just as strong but while she is not a trained warrior, she is faster than WW and fights with an animal instinct that makes her movememts umpredictable.

@@nightnaughty Also, in her new lore, she holds a divine rivalry with Diana, as both are divine aspects : Diana as a Greek Godness Vessel and Chettah as a Wild Godness of Hunt vessel. I really think they are one of best balance villainxhero duo. Wich makes every battle between then, very exciting. And they represent that in the screen.

@@giansena5536 True, not every villain in DC represents a challenge for the hero, and here WW didn't exactly defeated her with her own powers, if she haven't been used the armour she would have suffered at least serious injuries that wouldn't have killed but it they would have make her retreat and reasses her strategy.

They didn't show it in the movie, probably because they wasted time with other nonsense or because they wanted to save that for the next film, but part of the story of Cheetah is that whatever way she gets her powers, the subsequent transformation and it's progression makes her lose her humanity and herself, at the point that Bárbara, her memories and life gets erased to become full Cheetah. It would have been cool if they show her transformation in the movie, because her story is really tragic.

I enjoyed the movie. There were many similarities of this character to Michelle Pfeiffer's "Selena Kyle/Catwoman" in Batman Returns (1992) where she starts off as a "nobody" and becomes a vengeful feline femme fatale later on. I like this video but not so sure about this cover version of a Rolling Stones tune. I liked Siouxsie and the Banshees song "Face to Face" when a similar video was made for Catwoman that appeared on the Batman Returns soundtrack.

I want to see her come back for the Injustice League. I realize that this film takes place in 1984, and Barbara is middle aged in this and therefore would be elderly by present day, but I think she kept her powers at the end of the film (she covered her ears when Wonder Woman told the world to renounce their wishes). The world renounced their wishes, causing her to lose her Cheetah form, but I think she managed to keep all her previous powers. Remember, she got her powers by wishing to be like Diana, not realizing Diana was an Amazon-Old God Hybrid. One of Diana's powers is her longevity. Perhaps Barbara will have longevity and live long enough to join Lex Luthor as he forms the Injustice League. Just a theory of mine.

Kristen Wiig is amazing. This character reminds me A LOT of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman from the second Batman movie. Both women are very sensitive, and unfortunately very vulnerable. But once they get in touch with their inner feline power, then a big transformation happens, and it is pretty cool! I would LOVE to see Cheetah again in another Wonder Woman movie, and actually it would be cool to see Cheetah and Catwoman work together as a team, maybe against Batman and Wonder Woman?

This is my theory..Barbara will be back as the main villain in WW3 along with Circe. Barbara will long for her lost powers and in comes Circe. Circe wants to take revenge of some sort to all Amazons and will imbue Barbara the power to transform into the more ferocious Cheetah version making her Circe's champion.

Barbara (Cheetah) in this movie was the prime example of an enemy Wonder Woman would face. I thought the crazy billionaire oil guy was dull and boring, if he became the embodiment of the evil god that gave him the...sigh...wishing powers. I guess it would be pretty cool to see an evil monster looking being fighting Wonder Woman, than the dull collapse she did. I did adore the speech she gave however! I just wish the movie ended more fiercely, and the only challenge between her was not just Cheetah!
