Jim Baird the electric violin was invented long before any of those you mention, the first ones appeared in the early 1930’s, they were a development of the horn violin. Originally used a pick up system similar to a magnetic coil record player needle, then developed into, guitar style coil pickup, then later as in this Yamaha a piezoelectric pickup.
