@adventofknowledgeАй бұрын
@@Thomas-g5t2k No. The majority simply voted for them because of the treaty of Versailles and the ridiculous sanctions put on them for WWI which wasn't to punish them, but to kick them on the ground after they'd already lost. We who won world war 1 we created the conditions for Nazism to flourish in Germany, without an olive branch there was only resentment. Hitler simply offered a future, where there was no other alternative other than starvation. Nobody ever talks about just how bad conditions in Germany were before Hitler came to power. They were VERY bad. The Nazi's and the war that followed were simply a consequence of our willingness to not just punish the German people, but to stick the knife in and twist (mostly the US congress for the latter). Make an entire people starve, on top of already losing a war, where they lost millions of their fathers, sons, uncles, cousins, brothers and rob them of their future and have them know its you who did that and your governments are making sure they starve and suffer. Then of course they will go running into the arms of someone like Hitler. By the time most influential individuals had realised what Nazism really was, the ability to turn back was non-existent apart from the end of your life and that of your families and that's the optimistic outlook to rebellion back then. People like Weasels like the Nazi Martin Bormann and Henrich Himmler dominated the upper echelons, so any scheming would be met immediately with either schemes and plots from them in retaliation or direct targeting of your own family by the SS. And if the SS took you, it was not going to be pretty. People must remember that the German people, back then, were still human, they didn't cease to be human because they voted the Nazi's in, they simply felt that he and the party were the only ones to offer them an optimistic future, after the Reichstag burned, there was no real way to democratically dislodge them from government anymore.

Corrosion of political institutions acompanied by a lack of confidence in political institutions (legitimatiion crisis), demagoguery and fear mongering, propagandarising, an appetite for sensationalism, the confection of internal and external enemies (fear of the other), ramped up surveillance of citizenry, and corruption of the rulle of law. Pressure is inversely proportional to the area over which the force s applied. Hanging with a thinner rope exerts greater pressure on the neck structures. That increases the chance of occluding the arterial circulation to the brain which ensures swift loss of consciousness and painless death, as opposed to only occluding the airways. The fact that Hitler believed that hanging the plotters with a thinner rope would prolong their agony shows that he was not just wicked, but scientifically illiterate too.

He was, instead, offered the opportunity to take his own life with a cyanide pill, which he did, in order to save his family the pain of a public kangaroo trial and execution. He was buried with full military honors as a hero in Ulm and the cause was listed as a cerebral hemorrhage due to a skull fracture he had suffered when his staff car was run off the road by attacking RAF airplanes several months earlier.

Many folks just pretend that all the books were without flaw but at least you point out how some of them were sketchy while others weren't. This is another example of how objective you are, like the previous video you did about the concentration camp survivor who ended an innocent German family.
