So there's a bit to clearify (again) - This version of ~omh~ is an open beta released in C3, and it was advertised as such. Despite that, clearing the whole game was possible. The open beta was great to get feedback for the final release, which was submitted to smw central's hack section less than a week ago (9/9/2023). - The Tower of the Exits as a whole in the open beta was admittedly incredibly unpolished; the hub area only included the bare essentials. In the final version, there's not only a bunch of NPCs around to clearify the 'point' of the level, but also all the rooms are named along with assigned difficulty ratings. There's even a button combination you can use in any room to exit the level and go back to the hub (explained by an NPC). Some rooms were also tweaked for the sake of clearity. - The first 3 phases of the final boss don't have a checkpoint (that's not currently possible due to the way it's structured), but you're given a power-up in reserve once you reach phase 3, and you at least see how much health the "Slay Bell" has. The spike attack also has a more forgiving hitbox (it's now only 2 pixels wide.) What's nice about the whole final boss is you can't lose lives during it. - The final phase remains unchanged. The only tweak is points are deleted, and a slight oversight is addressed. - The credits are included. BarbarousKing is credited. Again, thank you so much for playing, from me and Team JANK. I know it's been real rough near the end, but we hope to have addressed a lot of the issues for the final release in the hack section.

Amazing hack. Also, as someone who used to work for Frontier (Verizon) as a technician, don't even bother suggesting any ideas to ISP, most workers think you're spouting words you found on google and take words from customers with a grain of salt. Weather & heat (especially in the 90F degree range lol) cannot affect internet much if any these days - so, they had reason to have that look. Most people in the ISP store-fronts have no idea either, they just call the main office / check the system for outage. Most issues are relating to nodes being down delivering to a certain area, a fiber line cut somehow resulting in an outage, etc.
@tommyverstraete5678 Жыл бұрын
About weather, there are plenty of ISP lines that are shitty and underdeveloped because why develop them if customers still pay the same for shit internet?(usually because the areas are contract locked to one to two providers). For example, at my apartment the lines are so old they are coax and can only run 100mbps up and down bandwidth top speed. In the age of gigabit internet, that’s a little embarrassing imho. Especially when the internet rarely runs to its capacity even via Ethernet, and cuts out intermittently every time there’s strong winds/thunderstorms. 😅 So the lesson here for you and other ISP workers is to take select customer ideas a bit more seriously. Or at least VET them and ask follow up questions to gauge their knowledge on how data flow works. 👍🏻 It’s not rocket science, and ISP maintenance frankly is low quality. And remember that the company you work for is focused on profits, not necessarily high quality internet service, especially when many ISPs have limited competitors and hindered the market with oligopoly practices and contracts with apartment companies and HOAs. And this doesn’t even begin to mention the things ISPs can’t maintain. Like getting the property owner to agree update cables inside the property. A third party decision maker nightmare. Customer wants better internet, but you can’t touch the hookups/lines running through the apartment.
