Thanks for doing the video again! Really great!! The difference between "Chameleon" and "Colour Shift" is just the naming. We rebranded from the Chameleon name into the Colour Shift range in 2018, so there are still a few bottles out there with the old branding on them. The contents are still the same, so if you have a Chameleon bottle, check the SKU and match with the Colour Shift with the same SKU as we kept them the same so as to avoid confusion with retailers and their systems.

Sms paints are amazing, I use them all the time. The pearl range is amazing as is the colour shift. There are more version in the colour shift range, toxicspill is my all time favourite. Great test, awesome to see our Australian product getting an international shout out.

one thing I applaud you on is keepign the focus considering the camera will try to focus on all the particulates that airbrushing the colorshift paints produces, you can see it sparkling in the air.

Thanks for showing these SMS paints Rex. I've been using them for quite a while and just finished a Porsche 911 930 turbo done in the Color shift Lava and looks great. Always have good results with these paints. They have got to go over a black base to get the full effect.

I've used those hobby lobby color shift paints myself and they work pretty good. You gotta thin them just right or they spackle, but when you get the right consistency, they go on smooth. I did a whole kit with just those pretty much. Wish I could post a picture here

I love color shifts, thank you for doing these videos, they're extremely helpful and informative. I Wo der got the yellows would fare over a dark red or brown base, the blacks seem to always make them more green looking probably because of the blue content in the black.

Nice test and they've got some good ones in the line. I've had some mixed results with a number of companies, but I'll give some of these a go and see how they work. I have some of the same color combos, but they don't quite have as much color saturation as these do. Thanks!

Thanks for looking at the SMS line; it's always been a favorite of mine! That Chameleon Mauve/Purple/Orange portion made me wonder if it could be a fast way to "cheat" an overheated pipe or gun barrel.🤔

You can look at the spray source alpha pigments! They have wild color changing paints!

Kustom Service chromes are great. Alcohol like Green Stuff World, and they have multiple tones. For color shifts Solar Color Dust has a lot of different powders; color shift, temperature changing, water change, holographic.

Great video dude! Hey a question: What colors do you recommend for paint the canopies of the different fighter jets and bombers like the F-16, EA-B, F-22, F-117 ? Thanks for the suggestion of using the Tamiya spray cans to get a dark gray base coat/primer. I got the Gunship Gray 2 as well and love that kind of satiny semi-gloss sheen it has for my metallics, but wish I had one just like this in a lighter gray as well - the light gray Tamiya spray I got was more flat. Do you have any suggestions for a light(er) gray base/primer that has the same sheen as the Gunship Gray 2?

I used a color shift paint on some of my WH40K models to make Power/Force/Nemesis weapons more distinct. If I had the time I would redo them with these new ones. I also just picked up a paint from Turbo Dork that was the perfect color shift for the "energy" on a RG Gundam model. Kinda like when Unicorn does its transformation. Finally I have a question, what paint do you use for Madder Red or Bright Red on Gundams? Can't find one anywhere.

Question as am curious after watching a few of your colour shift tests. What colour are your walls and ceiling in your spray booth area. Reason I ask is that they do look great and you can see the shift in colour but there is a definitive green reflection happening on the spoons. You can really see this on the SMS Lava where it is supposed to be Orange and Yellow. As soon as you pick up the spoon it's green predominantly this is why I am asking is there anything green in your room that the shifts are picking up on. It also happens with some of your other vids on colour shift paints. Thanks in advance and these are great vids. Keep on keeping on

I use SMS and have done for years. Airbrush gets cleaned out with Tamiya lacquer thinners.
