Love how the primary theme is emphasized throughout the voices so strikingly well. Hearing it sung this way makes me ask why it hasn't been done. However, it is possibly quite true I might just never have heard the ones that did.

One of the most beautiful compositions ever. If I remember Barber composed this for string orchestra first, or maybe the other way around. Either way it is a glimpse into the eternal.
