A Barber doing a classic taper cut. So many new Barbers consumed with bald fades in every video. I'm working on my 34th year cutting lots of hair every day. It's good to see something else than bald heads. Great job sir.

Amazing to see a real Barber on KZbin, yes fades are great but there is nothing like classic barbering and real scissor work, i was trained by Italian Barbers and my passion is old school barbering cant beat it
@ashleymoon46687 жыл бұрын
So glad for this video! I'm in cosmetology school and they don't teach you men's cuts until you're already on the floor, and all the videos on KZbin are disconnected cuts, and fades. My dad's been bugging me to cut his hair and show off what I've been learning at school (everything but men's cuts, basically), and this is his haircut exactly!
@kathyleslie19034 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Since we can't go to barbers or hairstylists right now, my husband wants me to cut his hair. I'm terrified, and have been combing (ha ha) KZbin for videos. This is by far the best, especially, as other commenters have said, I'm not looking for fades or anything fancy. Thanks for the details and helpful commentary!

I just used this video to cut my hubby's hair. It turned out great! Actually, better than some of the haircuts he gets at the barbers. I would like to know how to do a little more of a fade at the neckline. I'll look around to see if there is a video for that.

Thank you for your patience and wisdom my compatriot. You have a gift not only for this art form, but also for instructing others so they can elevate themselves along side of yourself. A great way to live, I envy you and aspire to help others too once I reach a level that will just become a flow one day. This cut right here is the example I need to help level up. I love this cut for my demographic, even younger folks now want longer hair tapered. After viewing your instruction here I was able to give a mostly scissor cut at a park on a bench, while finishing up I had my cordless and tapered buzzer over comb. It came out brilliantly! Best to you and your future endeavors. Looking forward to more... Cheers. Robert M. - CelebratedRazorworks

Superb barbering. I live in Scotland and I wish I could find a barber like you. I am 65 and I need a barber that actually listens to me! My last haircut was November and I am still growing out the neck taper that I didn’t ask for. I don’t intend to get another haircut until April and I reckon by then it will be back to where I started. Just because a guy goes to a barber it doesn’t mean he wants to come out looking like he is going to fight in WW1 trenches!

I have 5 years of experience but often I find out from you something new for me. Now I started to use razor for my cuts on the top and my clients are happy =)Thanks to you now I'm waiting for a clipper from the U.S. like you have with detachable blades , because I can see how good it cuts and finally I`m gonna have less cables around my work place =) Every evening after work I`m buying some food and beer ,coming home and checking, if you have something new , so keep going =) now you changing look not only of your clients but mine also ;)

vvv2k12 When he said "less cables" (I'm thinking he means clipper cords), therefore, the clippers he's referring to are probably cordless clippers. And yes the voltage in many European countries use 240v compared to 120v in the USA.

UPDATE... I almost forgot to share how it went. I apologize. It went really amazingly well! I didn’t remembered until I was doing my hubby’s two week touch up. He had me cut his hair again!!! That says a lot!! Especially, when salons are open here in Washington State. I did take an entire hour to accomplish the cut the first round.However, I just made him a strong drink and all was well. We laughed and talked thee entire time. I guess that I said “uh oh” at one point soooo, that wasn’t reassuring for him. I have an entire new respect for anyone in the salon world!! That is coming from someone who has worked in retail for 20years. And I am extremely thankful for my current four years in pest control. Again, that says a lot! My main income is eradicating bed bugs and roaches. Thank you for sharing this technique!!! I wish you all blessings ❤️ Remember, it’s only hair. In two weeks, it literally never happened.❤️😂😂

This is the most popular cut i do every day in my shop. My clientel is mostly older gentle men but do have a lot of fades that come in too. I dont do much blocking in the back. I think a nice taper with this type of style looks better and as i tell my clients, with a taper instead of blocking you dont notice it as much as it grows out.
