Riptide's dynamics are incredible. It's definitely a rare performance that has so many soft sections

Interesting thought. I was so wrapped up with my "Family" Quartet Power Play I didn't see many of the other main competitors until the actual final round when they were all singing their best to win. Back then, I was still so green about appreciating the qualities of all the quartet's like Riptide and Uptown Sound. Now Rick "The Man" Taylor I class as a barbershop friend and vocal hero ( A wonderful man ) Tim Reynolds still a personal vocal hero as he sings tenor with Broughaha and the lead I want to be like David Calland ( great sense of humour wonderful lead qualities when ever he sings now with Broughaha ) When I remember 2003, thank goodness I have these video's to give me the whole picture of that contest.

Riptide was at their peak in 2003, in my opinion... just so flippin’ good.

We agree on far too much, @NikoPorter! Proof you didn't need to win that week to be called a masterful quartet
