Lily felt a wave of panic wash over her. She didn’t want to cut her beautiful hair, but she knew she had to comply with the rules. After much thought, Lily reluctantly decided to get a shoulder-length haircut to meet the school's requirements. The next day, she walked into school, hoping to blend in. However, as soon as the principal saw her, she was not pleased. Lily was called to the principal's office, where she was informed that her haircut still violated the strict uniform policy. The principal, determined to enforce the rules, forcefully took Lily to a nearby salon. As she sat in the chair, Lily felt her heart race with anxiety and sadness. She watched in the mirror as the stylist began cutting her hair to the ear-length bob required by the school. Tears streamed down her face as she realized she was losing a part of herself. The principal watched with a satisfied smile, pleased to see Lily conforming to the school's rules. As Lily left the salon with her new haircut, she felt a mixture of loss and resignation.
