The big white dress at the 26 minute mark comes from the 'Discover the World with Barbie' series, a magazine series from the early 2000's which came with themed fashions. This one was for "New Orleans" (a classic 'Southern Belle'-style dress) and would have also come with a matching hat, not a veil. They weren't made with the same quality as you'd expect from Barbie (being cheaper and mass-produced), so they sometimes don't look to be authentic, but they are still technically Barbie brand.

I had no idea this magazine series even existed. I looooove to learn these things. Thank you , thank you, thank you so so much for telling me. There was this black hat looking very similar at this stand but the white hat that originally came with it I can't remember seeing there. But still, now I'm so happy I did pick up this dress.

Great haul and so cool you met one of your viewers and hopefully started a new friendship! I also love all the MGA lines that have the Rainbow High/Poopsie style of eyes! I collect RH dolls but also all the small and medium size animals and horse/unicorns with those eyes, they're just so cute! It's funny seeing how you're slowly turning into a doll collector too, the same happened to me, I only collected monchhichis and started getting doll furniture for them (Mostly Barbie scale furniture) and after a few years a friend convinced me to get a Japanese Licca chan doll and it went down hill from there... XDDDDD That Sindy you passed on was from the 70's and quite sought after, I have several as now I also collect MOD dolls regardless of brand. I love the aesthetics of MOD everything

I know that a lot of people just have a short attention span😅 (I'm blaming TickTock 😂😂) so I always feel bad that I make these above-average length videos 😅 Strangely enough I'm not the biggest fan of those eyes on Rainbow High. I prefer them on animals 😚 and if I have to decide between LOL OMG and Rainbow High.... I would choose LOL... I still don't consider myself a doll collector. Vintage toy collector still works better. Because from most other doll lines (especially the newer ones) I only have 1 example and I want to keep it like this. I have no real interest in the doll topic itself and there are lots of dolls that I don't like. (Vintage Sindy being one of them... sorry.... she is interesting and full of toy history so I appreciate her✌ but don't really like her). I'm just super in love with Barbie right now 😍😍😍 80s/90s and a little bit of older Barbie. It's the whole easthetic that drives me to Barbie and the childhood nostalgia and the toy history behind the brand and not so much the fact that she is a doll.😅 it is difficult to explain. It's one of my faves from this lot and I was so mad that I absolutely did not find it. Locket Surprise fashions. OMG~ I love that Barie. No wonder I also love her fashion packs. About the last one I'm not sure which one you are referring to. The short black dress, the tight fitting red/back lace dress or the light blue gown? I still have all of them. Didn't throw or give and of them away😉

37:59 I own this! It‘s from a set that was sold via katalogue. I‘m not sure which one, though. Otto or Neckermann, maybe. My grandparents got this for my birthday in 1993 or 1994.

We in Germany don't have anything similar to the big thrift store chains like in the US though. So I always get insanely jealous when I see what people find over there.😆

Wow, so many Barbie finds! I have to be careful watching these barbie hauls that I don't start picking up 80s/early 90s barbie! Bummer about the keypers, but it just wasn't meant to be. Yes, be careful, I got into Barbie because of a KZbin Channel 😅 uff, you think I kind of do it ok with the volume between talking in video, voice over and music? Because this is my biggest struggle while editing these videos. All the sounds are so different in volume (especially when I have such lound ackground noises at the flea market) and it is really hard to find the best middle ground and it is quite the work😬 But that makes me really happy that you think I'm doing good right now.✌I'm trying to keep it up that way. 😄

@@LauSkypainter luckily (I guess 😒) my local goodwill charges a minimum of 3.49 per doll, no matter the condition. If they were $1 it would be way too tempting. Yes, you are doing a great job with the volume. Almost every other youtuber I watch (other than those with millions of subs) have horrible sound transitions where it gets super loud and I constantly have to adjust volume. I figured this must be one of the more challenging aspects of editing.

Ja als Sammler kennt man eigentlich fast alles was so auf den Markt kam hihi😊ich sammel auch Ponys und Barbies. Ich hab eigentlich nie damit aufgehört, also sowie es damals ebay gab hab ich losgelegt🤣🤣🙈. Eigentlich sammel ich alles auch neue Spielsachen wie die Rainbowhigh und LOL Puppen nur wirds langsam eng in der Bude🤣. @@Sini8419 ja, mit der Zeit lernt man als Sammler alles mögliche kennen und ich selbst gucke ja auch viele KZbin videos und muss mich echt beherrschen nicht auch noch mit den neuen Spielsachen anzufangen. LOL OMG und Rainbow High mag ich auch sehr gerne aber mir reicht aktuell jeweils ein Beispiel davon in meiner Sammlung. Weil ja,du sagst es: Platz😅 und mein Herz schlägt dann doch mehr für die alten Toylines. Ich habe 2014 gaaaanz langsam angefangen G1 Ponies zu sammeln. Aber nur online gekauft und vielleicht eine handvoll pro Jahr und einige Jahre gar keins. Mein Haupt-Hobby, in das all mein Geld und meine Zeit geflossen sind, war über 10 Jahre Cosplay und da war nicht ganz so viel Enthusiasmus für Toys übrig. Aber ich wollte immer gerne mehr sammeln und habe damals schon andere KZbinr geschaut. Erst als durch Corona keine Gelegenheiten Cosplays auf Conventions zu tragen mehr da waren, hatte ich mehr Zeit für vintage Toys 🤩 und seit dem hat sich das zu meinem Haupt-Hobby entwickelt. Also so richtig erst seit dem Frühjahr 2020.😉

I'm not even sure they are home-made any more. Because I have seen other dresses with this kind of gift wrapping ribbon online just a couple of days ago... and that makes me think that they were maybe mass produced after all... But with the zig zag seams etc.... the whole thing just looks home-made to me... I don't know. Let's see if I find out more in the future.

ich glaub die clone glow in the dark sind genauso schwierig zu finden hatte mal ein grünes clone kleid mit palmen streifen kann es einfach nicht finden war mein lieblingskleid für meine barbies auch wenn es clone war 😍

Ja, das glaube ich auch. Die sind auch einfach toll. Mir gefallen sie teilweise fast besser als die originalen Dream Glow fashion Kleider vom Design. Und ich liebe einfach alles, was im Dunkeln leuchtet. Habe ja auch viele der nachtleuchtenden Fakie Ponies oder Fakie Elefanten und liebe sie. Da passen die Clone Kleider total in mein Beuteschema. Ich werde die Augen weiterhin auf halten für diese. Ich habe mal ein hellgrünes auf einem Bild online gesehen. Das war auch sehr hübsch. Weiß nicht, ob es Palmen Streifen hatte. Vielleicht war es das.
