That sounds pretty typical. As soon as Barbie said in the beginning, "Click 'yes' if the bottle worked for you. Click 'no' if you need further assistance," I knew many people would be clicking 'no' cause old PC games just were that way, 50/50 they'd run when you bought them.

And to this day we still don't know what happens if you don't leave the rainbow forest in time, or what the rainbow forest area gets turned into. This game, like most games, are in an endless time loop. Some philosophers believe that deities have control over time, similar to how we can influence a video game world.

I always thought the villains of this game were so cleverly done. Yes, they are silly and shallow characters, but humorous. That cage of light thing is by far the creepiest thing I have ever seen Barbie feature to kids. You could add flames to the background, and turn this into part of a church Hell House, and people wouldn't get the reference.

You'd have to find an emulator and hope you don't get a virus. Then you have to program in the power of the "magic genie bottle." Barbie genie counts as Abandonware, and has little to no chance of being brought back. Also, this game was made pre 9/11, so you know Barbie company will want to make significant minor/major changes. Games with a short story mode are much less likely to be revived, unlike Digimon World 3.
