it shows a different tone to a set with Director Ms. Gerwig , the care and love for everyone on set including but not limited to Actors. A safe space for filming but it's not a blanket observation for females. Edgar Wright has that as well under his fun filming environment, just to mention a few. Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie bringing souls and dimensions to characters that have none are completely magical.

When I heard this was actually getting made I dismissed it has a passionless cash grab on a popular IP. However, after seeing this and the most recent trailer, I can say without a doubt that I judged it to harshly. I don't have any attachment to the Barbie, but seeing so much love and passion being put into this movie I will definitely be checking it out. We don't get enough passion projects these days.

Only fools believe everything they hear. Ken’s journey in the film is one of resilience and self-actualization. He has to learn to recognize and overcome his fragility and be his own person rather than just base his whole identity on being an accessory to Barbie. He is confronted with the reality that his whole existence has been about defining himself as Barbie’s boyfriend, and unlearn that so he can truly find himself. He also has to learn that his true value is not based on his (in)ability to backflip! It’s an important journey lots of people can relate to. You don’t have to take my word for it, go see it and decide for yourself.
