Gotta love how the speaking voices of Anneliese and Erika are done by the same actress (BCU queen Kelly Sheridan), their singing voices are different (Melissa Lyons for Anneliese, Julie Stevens for Erika, thank you Barbie Sings! CD credits), and even though it's Erika who does the most amount of singing in this film, it was Melissa Lyons that went on to be hired for more singing roles in the later movies (ex. Island Princess, Diamond Castle, Christmas Carol). 😆🎵💗💙

(Which in my opinion, is also in keeping with how I feel Kelly Sheridan's spoken voice gives Barbie-the-character a greater maturity compared to her more "high-pitched girly-girl" depictions, one in which the audience can better believe that this is a version of Barbie capable of embarking on grand magical quests & sh*t).

hands down, this is the BEST Barbie movie eveeerrrr go argue with the mf wall, like how is it that everytime i watch it it just keeps getting better? on a darker note, if you think abt it ppl with glasses are already being charged for seeing... an interesting fact is that in spanish (at least the latin dub) the movie is called "Barbie La Princesa y la Plebeya" which would literally translate as "Barbie the princess and the commoner", also with all the french coded things in the story i hope it was just inspo because if it wasn't we know how it went 💀
