Skipper and Stacey's clip-on tops remind me of the Snap 'N Play Barbie fashions of 1991. The tops were moulded snap-on plastic as were the waists of the skirts, although they had fabric at the bottom. Very easy for younger children and those with problems gripping small items. My cousin has Cerebal Palsey and had most of the fashions and dolls from that particular line.

I watched this movie. Its my first Barbie movie! I love the Skipper and Chelsea! I was torn between just picking them up OR the entire collection. This video has reminded me that I outta try to collect them all. Oh and the pink haired little Mermaid at the end of your video is name is Aquaria lol. She's a little mermaid that makes friends with Chelsea in the movie! 🧜🏻‍♀

Not so fond of the mermaid series to be honest...the colour range of this toy line is all over the place and the tail part on Barbie looks like it really hinders poseability but as you stated they are made with a younger audience in mind...
