Hello my friend, I performed your recommended test with a vacuum hand pump and the motor did stumble and you had said that if it does the EGR is working like it should.. my old matco scanner says that I have an EGR problem.. I don't know what to do now.. one thing I noticed is that the vacuum line to the EGR is pulling vacuum all the time in park.. should it always be pulling vacuum??? I had to edit this comment.. I found some more of your videos related to EGR.. but the question does still remain... Should vacuum always be pulling on the EGR

I don't think so. The computer only activates the EGR valve with vacuum under certain conditions, otherwise the spring inside it keeps it closed, so no exhaust gas is sent into the cylinders to lower the combustion temperature. There are a couple of other parts in the system that can fail, as well as the two ports in the throttle body which eventually clog up with carbon and cause the check engine light to come on. That will eventually happen on all these Ford engines.

What if you have electronic EGR valve well that also work on the solenoid and if so how

This will not work for that.

18”hg. That’s 18 inches of mercury vacuum. Hope this response was quick enough.
