which restaurants are free at Barcelo maya beach

Great videos. Out of the Maya Beach and Tropical, which would you recommended. We are travelling with four kids 17-20 and we prefer a more lively pool area. Also how many a La cartes can you eat at over one week?
@jslandstudios8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! Out of the two, for your situation I would suggest the Maya Beach. The tropical is a little bit more family focused and with older kids, you might want a more sprawling pool area that is less focused on kids, but both are in a great location with access to amenities from either hotel so you can’t go wrong. I suppose it’s totally up to your hearts content! I don’t believe there is a limit for à la cart options, but because both hotels are all inclusive, I would definitely recommend looking at the great restaurants that are there!

How long is the walk from the rooms to the beach? I know someone that stayed here and didnt like the distance from the rooms to the beach. But if its no more than 10 min i dont mind
@jslandstudios4 ай бұрын
Even from the furthest rooms, you won’t be walking more than 5 to 10 minutes to the beach - most of the distance is walking through the pool and common areas. But, if you are further away from the beach, that means you are a lot closer to other amenities, so I would just Let the resort know your preference when booking.

@@jslandstudios thanks for the answer. We usually stay in small hotels where we just walk a minute or two at most to the beach. But wanna try something different.
@jslandstudios4 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Even if you are at the rooms that are closest to the beach, you will definitely be walking more than a minute because the pool space is just that big. That being said, it still feels like a beachside hotel.

What ar the prices for evry thing like ping pong boling and stuf like that we are going in march 2024 could you make a video about. That stuf
@jslandstudios Жыл бұрын
Ping-pong is free around the resort, but all of the prices for the arcade, including bowling and mini golf, are subject to change, but can be viewed online

Is there an age limit for things like bowling?
@jslandstudios9 ай бұрын
I don’t believe so, but I would always check the website for accurate and up-to-date information. I saw young children and senior citizens bowling at the same time when I was there last, but things can always change.

Do you need reservations at the restaurants and if so how are they made? Hard to get?
@jslandstudios Жыл бұрын
You can make them when you arrive, using the concierge or beforehand by contacting the hotel. Many of the restaurants do accept a limited number of walk-ins, but I would strongly recommend making reservations.

Hey! How is the situation with seaweeds there?

Same as it is anywhere in the tropics. Definitely present but not an overwhelming problem.

how much is it to upgrade to premium? is there somewhere you have room tours?
@jslandstudios Жыл бұрын
I don’t have room tours at the specific hotel, but there are photos on the Barceló website! That’s also where you can find out more about pricing. If you are thinking of upgrading to a premium room, I would recommend staying at one of the nicer hotels instead, as you get access to more amenities and even the base level rooms are a little bit nicer. (palace or adults only)

How is food? Did I miss it?

Food, across the entire resort, is fine. Nothing too special but it’s good.

How was the nightlife?
@jslandstudios Жыл бұрын
It depends on your age range- I am in my mid 20s and I would say that this resort didn’t really have a lot for me after hours. There is a club but it seems like it is mainly for 18-year-olds and people in their mid 30s.

At the same time, there is a lot of great nighttime entertainment and family activities, and a lot of the bars stay open late, but it still feels very limited

Thanks for this video, Jake! Just wondering: is Cancun safe to visit? You read so many stories of tourists being the victims of crime in Mexico these days….
@jslandstudios2 жыл бұрын
It completely depends on where you go! This resort, technically, not in Cancun, is incredibly safe and gated. Even the taxi cabs need verification to enter and exit. I’ve been coming here since I was a young child, and I’ve never felt unsafe. I would keep an extra eye on your wallet if you are going in some areas outside of downtown Cancun…
