Barcelona Merce Festival opening Parade

Barcelona's Mercè Festival is the city's biggest entertainment event happening every year on the last weekend of September during four days. There are several hundred events going on, lots of music, dance, cultural activities, human towers, with most events happening outdoors on the streets and plazas, all free fun for everybody. And in this episode we will focus on the grand parade that opens the festivities.

You might consider staying in a more central location, in walking distance of La Ribera and Gothic Quarter -- many accommodations available there. Sagrada Familia is wonderful to visit for a couple of hours, but quite isolated, in a part of town with little other interest.

@@denniscallan We have a 3 bedroom apt. and I did consider other areas but we're fine with bus or subway to other parts of town. I'm a HUGE fan of cathedrals and will enjoy the idea of just sitting on a bench and gazing at that incredible Gaudi structure for a while every single day! :) I've done TONS of research and reading but if you have any MUST places and especially restaurants, I'd love to know! :) I'll be in town May 16 to 25. This is a very interesting parade wish they have that in the USA. How tall is the dancing parade Giants because they Tower over us like 3 meters tall or 4 meters tall? Just imagine if Robert wadlow who was 8'11". What if Robert wadlow grows more taller and the same height as the dancing parade Giants? How tall would he be if he was the same height as the dancing parade Giants?

Hello tall people. If you guys were as tall as the parade Giants in Spain or Ecuador like real giants even though they're statues? How tall will you be if you were the same height as the parade Giants and Spain or Ecuador?
