My first ever visit to Barcelona, just loved the Gothic Quarter. The history is fabulous and really appealed to my inner nerd. We booked onto a walking foodie tour, which was worth the cost of a smaller group. A trip to the Basilica is a must just remember to book your ticket online and join a tour. Our hotel was opposite the Cathedral, lots of entertainment including some breakdancers - no kangaroo moves though....! I really would like to visit again.
