Barcelona seemed to have it all. We explored the beautiful Park Güell with its intricate mosaic tile work; marveled at the insane detail of Sagrada Familia; spent a few (somewhat) relaxing hours on the beach; and even visited a Harry Potter exhibition! If we can say anything about Barcelona with absolute certainty, it's this: there's no shortage of things to see and do here.

That was so therapeutic to watch you guys sitting on the beach in November eating pizza facing the ocean & letting the world go by around you 🥰 Barcelona looks beautiful, I'd love to visit one day.

So cool to see you in my city. So much to see and you barely scratch the surface of Barcelona. Fun fact, Sagrada Familia is not done yet, it's expected to be done on 2026, 100 years after Gaudis death anniversary. About the restaurant situation not sure if you encounter a bad waiter/place (wich of course you can find in barcelona) or is just how they behave here. Waiters usually dont earn they're salary throu tips, therefore it's very different from the united states service. Some of them dont come to your table unless you ask for it and they wont make you pay or leave right after you finish your meal. People in spain is used to do sobremesa wich means hanging after meals for long time just chatting. Also meal time is very different, did you guys went for dinner in spanish time?

We think it was just a bad waiter experience that night. He seemed reluctant to have to do anything, which (we guess) is why his boss was arguing with him. We had good experiences everywhere else in the city, though, so this one was an isolated incident. That's fascinating about Sagrada Familia. Finishing on the 100-year anniversary would be very poetic. If we're lucky enough to visit again, it'll be interesting to see the final version (and we'll be sure to book in advance so we can see the inside as well!).

I laughed so much at the marathon meme 😂. When I was in London end of February we walked the same path to the tower bridge like you did and there were runners all over the place again and one of my brothers asked if there was a marathon that day. Then I told them the story of yours in that London video 😂😂 Barcelona seems so very beautiful and cool ❤

It feels so good to know I'm not the only one who thought that. 🥹 For the rest of the trip, every time we saw someone out running, Lauryn would turn to me and say something like, "Oh look, there's a marathon going on" to remind me. So now your brother and I can feel silly together.

I was surprised about Brian's interest in the pigeons and birds, because I was curious why you didn't mention this in London. I haven't been there in a while, so I went back to your Day 4 video when you were in Trafalgar Square, because it is renowned as a place full of pigeons and gulls, and whilst there were some about when you were there, it did look like there were far more about in Barcelona - the sort of numbers I remember from Trafalgar Square. What's your take? PS Nice hairdo 👍

We'd experienced some pigeon clusters prior to this, but Barcelona took it to a whole other level. Maybe there was a Comic Con for pigeons happening nearby, and they all flocked into town for the weekend. PS: Thank you! 😎

Oh wow, it's crazy to hear someone else mention Project Gotham Racing! When we returned to London at the end of January and went to St. James Park, it triggered memories of the first PGR game, at which point I excitedly turned to Lauryn and explained how I'd driven around the area hundreds of times as a kid (though it was odd to see the streets without cones to slide through for Kudos). It truly is a unique experience to walk through places you've been to, and yet never been to.

I'm originally a Londoner so playing the London tracks was fun in that I knew them already. Partly from life but also from Metropolis Street Racer on the dreamcast (PGR was the follow up when sega stopped making consoles). I'm looking forward to the visiting a place I've been to most my life without going to for real thing when we eventually get to Super Nintendo World.

After all that happened when you walked into the restaurant, what made you decide to stay and eat. Just curious, not being mean. Cuz if people where acting like that for me I would be so scared to stay and eat, for not being sure if they would mess with my food.

You guys are a buzz kill when it comes to entertainers and salespeople in other countries. Spanish culture is loud, passionate, vivacious. If you don’t like it, don’t visit. But don’t put down the locals for hustling, making money, putting on a show or being talented. They’re ten times more talented and hard working than you or I will ever be.
@qlctravels
@qlctravels 3 ай бұрын
In this very video you've commented on -- as with many of our videos -- we feature several street performers, and even tip one. We understand the talent on display, and make a point to show it to our viewers whenever possible. To say we're putting down the locals because we made a passing comment about one particular act (in which we even said the act was entertaining) seems to be a misinterpretation of our feelings towards street performers as a whole. Perhaps that part of the video gives that impression, but it's certainly not the case.

@@qlctravels thank you for your explanation. Street performers get such a bad rap but most (not all, like in any industry) and legit and talented
