I’ve listened to many different KZbin channels over the years, and Tony Walker’s is by far the best. He’s also a better storyteller than most of the many Audible books I’ve listened to over the years. He is a very talented and gifted voice actor/narrator. If he’s not doing this professionally, he should be.👏👏👏

May I suggest the audiobook called The Chimes narrated by Tony. It's by Charles Dickens and I just discovered it by accident. I can't believe I'd never heard of it before, as I find Dickens brilliant and I adore Victorian England. It's a most compelling ghost story and very complex. I wouldn't want anyone else narrating it except Tony. Please enjoy Ronald. Louise Australia.

With any collection of tales, whatever their theme, it is absolutely important that the first story in the collection be a really great one, one that grabs your attention and keeps it. This collection supplies that. The first tale is very short, but really impressive. Was it a ghost story or a time travel story? Two people meet, and give comfort to each other on Christmas Eve. Each one is left with the question----was one of them a ghost?

Thanks for uploading this Tony! I have been following you for years as Wmnoffaith1, and I've enjoyed our many book chats. I see I'm entering this under my other channel name, but frankly it seems too much bother to switch over this morning. ( It's 5am here). I'm awake because I'm recently out of hospital due to a fall and broken ribs, and an unfortunate recent diagnosis. So, I am so pleased to be able to lay here and listen to your soothing voice, and past Christmases, and not think about a Christmas that I won't be participating in this year. If you by chance see this, and can find a few minutes to respond, I'd be thrilled to pick your brain. I have people who want me to open a Gofundme, (with which I'm uncomfortable) for my upcoming infusion treatments. I'd rather, though, sell my writing and have them help me in that way. I'm mentioning this to you, due to the times I've heard you say, " Instead of buying me a coffer, buy one of my books". I also know you have Patreons. So, I'm sure you'll understand when I say, I'd rather leave published works behind me, for people to read, than just a memory of me as a Gofundme account. That isn't exactly a legacy, lol. What I'm wondering is, in the interest of Time constraints, do you think it better to self publish, perhaps through Amazon? Or maybe, set up a domain and website and upload my writing/ books there? I realize you aren't an advisor, lol. If you maybe could give some tips, or even refer me to a website, book or resource where I could find out what the options are,and how it is done, I would really be very grateful. I want to try to get on as quickly as I can, and don't have 6 months or a year to toss this around. So, I'm following age old advice: if you need to build a mousetrap, don't take the time to figure out how to build one from scratch. Just find someone who has already built a mousetrap and ask them how they did it. In my case,, I'm not looking for writing assistance or advice, lol,, so don't worry. I'm not going to ask you for writing or editing assistance ( or to adopt me as a fledgling writer). I'm just hoping for some logistical advice on how it's set up.Any information you can point me to would be appreciated. If you do not have time to respond, I completely understand. It's the holiday season and everyone is very busy, so if I don't hear back from you, thank you for all of your lovely writing and uploads. It might be funny to you to know it was reading your first ghost story that put this idea in my head. Although he died, his work was still published, and people were reading it many years hence. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! To Tony and all of the listeners on his channel. Cheryl

I recognise and remember you Wmnoffaith. I am familiar with Gofundme (through a colleague actually) and of course I’m familiar with Amazon KDP and also Patreon and Kofi and all of them really. I have also set up websites, and they take a long time to deliver anything. So… Patreon is really an ongoing thing that people come into and drop out of. I feel that you have to keep giving the patrons things back in return for their investment. Websites are very slow and there is no guarantee these days without a tremendous amount of work that anyone will find them. The Gonfundme would be for a specific purpose - for the infusions and I think that is separate from you leaving your work. I would do both self-publish on KDP and do an Gofundme. Forgive me for not knowing, but what format are your books in.
@wisdomoftheearlychristians2037

@@ClassicGhost Well, right now they are in hardcopy( as in written, but I can easily get them read in or typed). I actually had a publishing contract in my " previous " life before I got sick to write a medical billing and Coding textbook for F.A. Davis. That was a littledifferentof course, being nonfiction, but I still had to do manuscript proposal and submission, and I actually did get a response instead of a rejection slip, and an offer, so I'm not totally unfamiliar with that process. I'm only explaining this, I guess kind of as proof that I can write. I understand what you are saying about getting people to your website, but if I have lots of people who want to go to my Gofundme ,do you think it's possible to direct those same people to a website? I know it's very difficult in the regular way, to get into an algorithm and get Google or any search engine to actually list your web page, but I was thinking that the people I write comments and essays for every day, are the ones that want to keep me going, because they say they " benefit from my writing and want to keep me in the world ", which I find absurdly touching. I never expected it, certainly. I know with Gofundme, you basically give away a percentage to them, they decide when you can have the money, and based on your written or verbal opinions, may opt not to give you your money at all. There was more than 5 million dollars raised for the truckers in Gofundme. Not only did Gofundme freeze the account and not disburse the money, but they actually negatively impacted the checking accounts of the people who donated and many had their accounts frozen. So, that's one of the reasons I'm leary about it as well. I guess I see setting up the website as a venue where people can go to purchase my books ( collections of essays, and writing, nonfiction, mostly of a Christian nature), and paying through Samsung Pay, Apple pay etc. I'm just looking into it now. I'm trying to figure out primarily how to format the book. As for the Patrons, I plan on trying to keep giving back as long as I'm here, lol, and then after I'm gone, then they will have what I've written. Just not sure in this almost completely ebook age, the best way to go about it. Thank you so much Tony, for taking your time to even read this. I'll appreciate any input you can give me. This week will be devoted to getting my writings consolidated and re edited, and in one place. They are online but not in one location which is how so many people have read them. I'm just trying to figure out the best plan. Maybe I should get a good writers app or software, dump everything on there and format it. My real question I guess, would be ," Do I copyright the works myself, or go through a self publishing company like Amazon?" How does Patreon work when someone wants to donate money to commission a work or thank you for a work? Thank you again for any information you can point me towards, and please forgive me that this is all over the map. As you can probably understand my mind is in 50 places tonight. Luckily, I'll be publishing primarily what I've " already " written. God bless you Tony for all of the hours I've enjoyed on your channel and for reaching out to a fellow writer. 🙏

Thank you so, so much. these stories were so delightful. but, who in the hell is the reader? did i miss his name in all the notes? he is absolutely one of the best actors i’ve ever heard reading a book. isn’t there union thing that he must get the credit? do please let me know. thanks :) i loved these stories. my favorite is the last one. it’s hilarious. poor guy. so glad he got away and that he loved that rambunctious, playful dog 🐕 :) and i bet the minute the little maid left that cottage, she thought that she didn’t know what came over her. a man with such awful habits and a writer who probably wrote horrible, grisly stories. LOL thanks again :) 🫣😯🌷🌱 is
